    Soul Harvest: Chapter 52

Hmm… ok. Call me with the details. She smirked. And the flight details.

Bette smiled at Tinas curiosity with her sisters new friend. For now, they all said their goodbyes and Bette and Tina boarded the plane.

After arriving home, they went to Bettes place where Tina had left her car.

T, you can stay here tonight. I would love it. Bette said as she wrapped her arms around Tina from behind, nuzzling the back of her neck.

I am so exhausted, Bette. I really should just get home, unpack, get ready for work and just go to bed. I am totally jet lagged.

Bette pouted but understood, wishing they could cuddle in bed together, falling asleep in each others arms. But, Tina left quickly, anxious to relax at her own place. Left alone, Bette started to unpack when the doorbell rang. Assuming it was Tina, she opened the door seductively.

I knew youd be back, you cant keep your hands off me, huh?

Well, with a greeting like that, who can stay away?

Bette jumped back with shocked eyes, face flushing.

Are you blushing Porter? Tsk, tsk. I never knew you were one to get flustered. Alice grinned as Bette opened the door for her to come in.

Sorry Al, thought you were Tina.

Really? I thought you greeted all of your guests that way. Alice replied sarcastically.

They both sat down on the couch.

You look like youve been hit by a train. Alice commented.

Thanks. You look great too. Its the jet lag and probably all the stress of the weekend.

Ah, yes… meeting the parents. Howd it go?

I dont think they like me and it was awkward all weekend. Bette rolled her eyes. And something very bad happened.

Oohh, I like the sound of this.

Youll never believe this, but her mom walked in on us in the shower right after she told Tina that they were starting to accept me.

    Youre kidding, right? Alice smiled.

I wish. I havent even talked to Tina about it yet.

    What did you do?

I just left as if everything was fine. I have no idea what Tina and her mom talked about after that. Bette sighed and ran a hand through her hair.
