    Soul Mates – Chapter 10

"Why am I nervous? I used to be married to this woman for cryin’ out loud"

Tina made her way up the porch steps with a bottle of wine in hand and a massive amount of butterflies in her stomach. The preparation for the fashion show was incredibly hectic but Tina couldn’t find any reason to regret her agreement to relocate, not when she was standing on Bette’s front porch at the end of the day.

Before she could even knock on the door, James was already aware of Tina’s presence and began to bark. She smiled and knocked anyway, her heart beginning to beat faster when she heard a muffled, "Its open!" from the other side of the door.

Tina took a second to gather her nerves, taking a deep breath and opening the screen door before finally turning the knob on the main door. As soon as she pushed through, a delicious aroma filled her nostrils. Tina’s mouth watered, her stomach growled and when she saw the beautiful sight in the kitchen, strong sensations tingled elsewhere on Tina’s body.

Bette was focused on her task, doing multiple things at once but performing them with such ease. Tina couldn’t help but stare at the beautiful brunette in front of her, taking careful notice to how swiftly her hands moved . . her fingers. There was always an artistic grace to everything Bette did.

"I hope you’re hungry" Bette said without looking up.

"Starved" Tina smiled as she made her way into the kitchen and lifted up the bottle of wine, "I got us a little somethin’"

"Thank you" Bette smiled and threw in the last ingredients into a pot of boiling . . something. It looked like chili but Tina couldn’t be sure, Bette covered the lid before she had a chance to see.

"What are you makin’? It smells . . amazin’"

"Wouldn’t you like to know?" Bette replied with a smirk, her back to Tina as she washed her hands.

"Yeah I would. Is it a surprise or somethin’?" Tina asked as she leaned against the counter.

"Yup" Bette answered still smirking and offering nothing more. She loved keeping Tina in suspense.

    1. At last! That was intense, alright. They seem determined to make it work, so I don’t think they’ll fall apart so easily at the next hurdle. Bring it Peabody(s)! You got nothin! Thanks for the post! :)

    2. AMAZING! Thanks for that chapter and their reconnection as they both know that the journey to a new connection between them has started once again , only this time a bit differently. Thank goodness for second chances… The Universe always seems to guide us to where we need to be. Thanks for another wonderful chapter!

    3. Phew Liah! …. Don’t you make the temperature raised by a few degrees!?! :-p hot hot hot…!! And it’s so sweet and lovely ;-) so glad to know how united they are! And I think if they stick together, they can conquer any (Peabody?) storm any time ;o)

    4. Wonderful chapter. This is what they needed, the conversation to clear the air of their past mistakes and get it out of the way in order to reconect. And that reconnection was…just WOW. Maybe this will fortify them for the next hurdle with the Peabody’s. I know helena will try something to try and get Tina back, I hope Tina gave the ring back to her. Love this story, thanks for posting.
