    Soul Mates – Chapter 10

As they ate, the chatter between them was very light but also incredibly interesting. They shared stories from the time they were apart, experiences and things they learned over the years. It almost felt like a first date, getting to know a side that the other had never seen before.

Bette and Tina talked about everything and anything, reconnecting in a way they hadn’t done in years. They flirted excessively, stealing quick glances and touches every chance they got. It definitely felt like a first date, their nerves had calmed down but remained there all the same. Bette would say something romantic and Tina would smile shyly, averting her gaze. Tina would laugh at one of Bette’s jokes and accidentally rub her leg against the brunette’s, causing her breath to hitch and Tina to smile.

At the moment, Tina was in the process of laughing at yet another joke only this time the only thing Bette could focus on was the sweet sound of Tina’s laughter. She had always been on to appreciate the little things in life and Tina’s laughter certainly was one of them. Nothing made Bette happier than being able to put a smile on that beautiful face of Tina’s.

As she calmed down from her laughter, Tina wiped a stray tear from her eye and noticed Bette had been staring at her.

"What?" She said through a small fit of giggles.

"Nothin’ I just . ." Bette shook her head with a smile as her eyes glanced down at Tina’s hand that was resting on top of the table. She gently grasped the soft hand in hers and slowly caressed the back of it with her thumb, "I guess I just missed hearin’ you laugh"

Tina gave Bette a warm, loving smile before she lifted up the brunette’s hand and placed a soft kiss on the back, turning it over to place another on the palm. She lowered it back to the table and clasped it between both of hers, slowly stroking the palm of Bette’s hand with her thumbs.

"I just plain missed you" Tina said softly, her eyes focused on Bette’s hand and both of hers.

    1. At last! That was intense, alright. They seem determined to make it work, so I don’t think they’ll fall apart so easily at the next hurdle. Bring it Peabody(s)! You got nothin! Thanks for the post! :)

    2. AMAZING! Thanks for that chapter and their reconnection as they both know that the journey to a new connection between them has started once again , only this time a bit differently. Thank goodness for second chances… The Universe always seems to guide us to where we need to be. Thanks for another wonderful chapter!

    3. Phew Liah! …. Don’t you make the temperature raised by a few degrees!?! :-p hot hot hot…!! And it’s so sweet and lovely ;-) so glad to know how united they are! And I think if they stick together, they can conquer any (Peabody?) storm any time ;o)

    4. Wonderful chapter. This is what they needed, the conversation to clear the air of their past mistakes and get it out of the way in order to reconect. And that reconnection was…just WOW. Maybe this will fortify them for the next hurdle with the Peabody’s. I know helena will try something to try and get Tina back, I hope Tina gave the ring back to her. Love this story, thanks for posting.
