    Soul Mates – Chapter 7

    "Paul! We’re ready for ya"
Paul turned around, his arms still wrapped around Tina’s waist as the blonde tilted her head to get a clear view of who had called her father’s name. She smiled at the skinny man wearing the same uniform and watched his face turn bright red.
"Oh . . I didn’t realize you were . . h-hi T-Tina" The man said as he took off his hat and nervously held it in his shaky hands.
Tina couldn’t help but laugh, "Hey Jimmy, how are ya?"
Jimmy swallowed hard as he tried to control his stuttering, "G-good, Tina . . r-really good. And yourself? . . y-you look really great by the way"
Tina let out a small breath of laughter as she nodded her head gratefully, "Thank you. I’m doin’ real good too"
"Good" Jimmy said with a wide smile.
Paul watched the exchange with a smile and a cocked eyebrow. Poor Jimmy had always been infatuated with Tina ever since they were kids even knowing the fact that she was into women. Apparently his crush didn’t die down even after five years of not seeing her.
Tina kept her smile way passed the sudden silence that enveloped them but as she felt it beginning to become awkward because Jimmy wouldn’t stop staring at her, she patted her father on the arm.
"Well, don’t let me hold ya here. Go get ‘em, daddy"
Paul smiled, "You got it, princess"
Jimmy turned around and began to walk toward a group of uniform clad actors preparing for the next act in their performance when Paul glanced over his shoulder at him then back to Tina with a wide smile. Tina smiled back but gave her father a suspicious look, cocking an eyebrow at the man.
    "What?"
Paul’s lips turned to a small frown as he shrugged his shoulders innocently, "Ya know, if it doesn’t work out with either Bette or Helena, you always have Jimmy"
Tina couldn’t help but laugh at her father’s tease, playfully pushing him away. Between him and Bette, Tina had heard more than her share of "Jimmy jokes" to last a lifetime. She watched as he father walked over to the same group that Jimmy was in, her smile slowly beginning to fade as her mind drifted back to the two women who were such a big part of her life.

    1. Wow! That was some chapter! My heart is still beating furiously in my chest. Humans sure know how to complicate life and love. Just goes to show you that you have to love your self first before you can love another. Ugh! Bette…

    2. Can’t say you didn’t warn us. Tina, dear, remember that Bette has been drowning her sorrows and might not have a grip on her words and thoughts right now? Good update, but dang, that’s two in a row that make the happy ending look a little remote. Next?

    3. Damn Katherine and her interfering, which still never seems to end. A lot of this heartache seems to stem from both Tina and Bette’s inability to tell each other what they’re feeling. Bette at least admitted that she’s still in love with her apparently soon-to-be ex-wife… Tina couldn’t even let Bette know she’s not her “backup” choice. Oh well. Maybe Tina will find her missing backbone when she gets back to New York. Thanks for posting. :)

    4. Hi! This is now my third comment… and all I’m gonna say, is that I borrowed the movie S.H.A. from a friend at work, and um… watched (endured) it. And… all I can say, is that you’ve taken a movie that was… not so great (dreadful… REALLY dreadful) and made a really cohesive, engaging story out of it. I vastly, VASTLY prefer your version. Even if Tina is currently annoying me. ;P Seriously, keep up the good work. I look for this every day and I’ll be sorry to see it end. Cheers! :D

    5. OK, I’m back for a third comment, too – although my second doesn’t really count, since it was a gripe about technical issues :-). To be honest, I had to kind of skim the story the first time, so now I can add: CRIKEY, Tina, get a grip. Minutes ago you were calling her your ex-wife, and now you’re stunned that she is (reluctantly) asking you to leave? Sheesh. I’d say Bette deserves better, but of course I want a happy Tibette ending. So I will just trust that Tina has some self-revelations coming. ;-) (You know you’re writing an engaging story when we’re all hollerin’ at the characters like this.)

    6. Great update although a bit sad. I agree totally with jp22 on both her comments. However, I think Bette should have told Tina what she was feeling and why and Tina should have told Bette that she was not second choice and she should have told helena at the park that she was not going to marry her and gave the ring back. Tina never should have mentioned the ex-factor in front of Bette, that was just the wrong move entirely. Can hardly wait to see how you fix this can of worms. And katherine needs to keep her damned mouth shut it is not her life. Thanks for posting.

    7. Argh!! 2 mules!! Two beautiful stubborn mules!!! Great update Liah! Powerful chapter to portray their states, and boy! I can only say that they are simply 2 mules!! If only they are more open and communicate openly. Argh!! :-( so frustated! … So when is the next one!? :-D PPVS??? :-)

    8. Ok upset at the outcome of that chapter I hope the next one will be more pleasant. Because I can’t take much heartbreak and neither can Bette or Tina. I am confused at the fact Helena still wants to marry Tina. Seems so far fetched to her earlier behaviour.

    9. I just re-read the chapter, and the way Tina has acted is just so frustrating! Bette might have been a bit stoic, but how many times is Tina going to hurt her without explaining her actions? Tina’s pretty damned selfish. Bette’s been trying to conquer the world to get Tina back? Bette deserves a lot better than what Tina’s given her so far. This will be another time Tina has left without a second glance back. I hope the happy ending is something Tina really earns, because she has an absolute *shitload* of making up to do. Argh! Right, rant over. :P …Um, pps! Lol
