There’s no one in this world that I could ever love as much as I love you. You’re it for me, baby. You’re the one"
Tina smiled wider, dropping her head for a moment due to the overwhelming emotions swimming through her body. Bette had been holding Tina’s hands in hers and the blonde watched as a single tear fell onto the back of one of her hands only to be wiped away with a gentle swipe of Bette’s thumb. She lifted her head once more, met with that same loving gaze that always seemed to warm Tina all over. She felt loved and cherished, adored and desired. It was an incredible feeling of happiness to be looked at like that, speaking volumes beyond anything words could achieve.
For a moment, Tina was speechless. Her throat felt closed up, her mind and heart battling for a chance to open themselves to the woman standing before them. In one swift motion, Bette brought a hand to Tina’s cheek and with her thumb, caught a tear that had escaped. Tina inhaled deeply at the warm touch of her beautiful wife, her eyes watching the way Bette silently mouthed "I love you". Just like that, everything inside Tina calmed and she found the will to speak.
"I used to think it was a little crazy to be so in love with someone at such a young age. Sometimes I used to get scared that my heart would get bored and want somethin’ else. I was afraid that my heart would get tired one day and stop lovin’ you but that was never the case, not even when we were apart. The heart wants what it wants . . and since the day you first kissed me . . mine has always wanted you, Bette"
