    “I mean, no one finds their soul mate when they’re 10 years old right?”

    Mrs. Porter gave Tina a very stern, motherly look. She loved Tina like daughter and only wanted what was best for her.
    "Alright but hurry home. If I hear from your mother that you got sick, you are going to hear it from me"
    Tina chuckled, "I’ll be fine, I promise"
    Mrs. Porter smiled and nodded, "I’ll see you tomorrow then, Tina. Get home safe. Bette, dinner is ready"
    Bette nodded as Tina smiled and waved, "I will, bye Mrs. Porter"
    Mrs. Porter went back inside the house, slightly closing the door behind her and left the two girls to say their goodbyes. Bette let out a big sigh of relief.
    "Man I thought we were in trouble for sure"
    Tina pursed her lips, "Speak for yourself, my parents are probably gonna kill me when I get home"
    Bette winced, "They’re probably gonna hate me even more for keeping you out passed dinnertime"
    Bette’s family didn’t have much money as Tina’s did and for some reason that was a problem. Tina’s parents never really approved of their friendship, always thinking that Bette was a bad influence on Tina.
    Tina shook her head, "Nah don’t worry about it. I’ll say I was with someone else if I have to. I won’t let them talk bad about you"
    Bette softly smiled, "You’re the best"
    "Duh"
    They laughed and Tina gave Bette a quick hug before turning around to leave. As Bette watched Tina’s retreating back, she felt something stir inside her. She couldn’t really explain it at first, later on she would find herself thinking about it.
    "Hey, Tina?"
    Tina stopped walking and turned around, "Yeah?"
    Bette licked her lips nervously, something that both surprised and confused her. This was a question she had asked countless times but for some reason it was a little harder to ask this time around. For some reason, Bette felt closer to Tina at that moment than she ever had before . . and they were pretty damn close already.
    "We’ll always be together . . . uh you know, as friends . . . right?"
    Tina walked back over to Bette, leaning in and softly placing a kiss on the brunette’s lips. It was basically done the same as the first but this time around, Bette blushed.
    "Forever" Tina smiled.
    Bette returned the smile and watched as Tina walked off again. When the blonde reached the edge of the driveway, she turned slightly and waved.
    "Night Bette"
    Waving back, Bette’s smile widened and Tina jogged off toward her house.
    "Night Tina"

    13. Not sure if I’ve commented on one of your stories before – but I have been reading and enjoying! Had to comment on this one because I was excited to see that someone else also thought that this movie/story would be made even better by replacing B&T as the main characters…I confess that there are several of my favorite movies that I want to do that with, shhhh ;) Anyway, thx for this and I’m definitely looking forward to see how your Sweet Home B&T unfolds!! PPVS

    16. so cute! sweet home is one of my favorites. i agree the story line fits with b&t perfectly as the main characters. i can already imagine the banter between them. wonder if you’re goin’ to incorporate the cat with the scorched tail in your version. lol, loved that part.
