Bette had introduced them to Catiana, and they’d quickly accepted her, making Ro grunt a bit. She thought it was funny in an ironic way, she was a business woman, just like Catiana, but she got her hands dirty, and Catiana didn’t. How differently they’d been treated, she bit her tongue. She said nothing, knowing it would upset Tina.
“I’m going to go change Kit is there a place I can use?” Rosita asked over the pounding beat, and Kit motioned for her to follow. She quickly kissed Tina‘s cheek and jogged after Kit in her bare feet, having taken the shoes off the instant she was able too. She’d driven bare footed making Shane who was riding with her, laugh hardily.
“Ok, why didn’t you tell us she was going to be a lawyer? Tina, the woman works on cars for a living, and you didn’t tell us she was moonlighting as a law student?” Alice asked she was well on her way to being drunk her words were starting to get slurred already. She’d been watching Lara and Dana kissing and cuddling and it was making her sick, missing CJ was making her sicker.
“It sure as ***** shouldn’t matter, should it?” Tina asked coldly defensively and Catiana chipped in. The work out maven rubbed her chin as she spoke her eyes mesmerizing them when ever she looked into their eyes.
“Non, mais it does, doesn’t it? Don’t judge a book by its cover is a great saying, mais it never applies to real life.” Tina said nothing, and glanced at Bette; who was staring a bit at Catiana. Tina had seen that look many times before, a bit of lust in Bette‘s gaze. Lara covered her mouth and looked at Dana who was staring at Alice. Oh great, second thoughts again, thought Lara.
“Bette?” Dana asked changing the subject quickly, and without hesitation. She didn’t want a fight; she wanted to celebrate Shane getting out of the ***** hole in record time. “How did you know about Shane? We tried to reach you but we couldn’t.” Silence from the art director, she licked her lips and then clucked her tongue. They all waited, staring intently at her until Catiana spoke.
