Later in the afternoon she sat in on a consultation with a long standing patient of Tina’s who was active in one of the groups, Tina hoped Lottie might take it on. Then at the end of the afternoon she asked her to go with her to collect Angelica.
“Well, some of those more ‘personal’ errands might involve me asking you to collect her from time to time so you two should meet, do you think you could manage that?”
Lottie smiled, “Of course, I’ve done my fair share of babysitting over the years, and I do childcare for a couple of my professors back in New York.”
“Well I’ll bear that in mind,” Tina said, as she grabbed her coat and switched off the lights, “although any childcare you do for Angel I would insist on paying you for.”
Lottie was silent.
Tina pressed on, “It’s not a wonder that you need the extra work in college if your plan was to take an unpaid position over the summer, most of the students we get asking for work experience are too young and we have to turn them away, then at your age they’re all wanting to be paid.”
Still Lottie was silent. She didn’t need paying and money wasn’t a problem. She’d withdrawn the full amount of the allowance on her trust fund every month since she’d found out about it. Placing it in a separate account only she knew about. It more than paid her tuition, her living costs and anything else she could want with more to spare. If she took it all her father never seemed to ask where it went or what she spent it on, he seemed to assume she was as money hungry as he. Her mind was wandering, she would have to get herself a little car or something if she was going to be picking the kid up, maybe she would need to find somewhere better to live that wasn’t a hotel, staying there made her feel kind of like an actress or a movie star living out of a suitcase. Maybe she could even get a part time job or something whilst she was down here, meet some people, she could ask Kit at the place they were at this lunchtime, it was packed in there so maybe she was looking for someone ..

First off glad to hear that you have no intention of Lottie making a play for one of our girls. But somethings definitly amiss. She’s hiding something, wonder if she’s somehow related to Bette? Web cam, for B&T could be very dangerous
Something smells fishy! All of you reading this message, get your minds out of the gutter!
Please don’t tell me that Lottie is somehow Bette’s child. I read the forward like 3 times and everytime I read it I think she’s Bette’s long lost forgotten daughter. Please post ASAP!!!!!

Bette’s long lost daughter… or Bette’s long lost half-sister by her missing mother and Lottie’s dad? Will we find out what happened to good old mom?

me thinks it’s Bette’s daughter that she hid from Melvin or Melvin “made her give up” for adoption. PPS!!! am intrigued now
My first thought was half-sister till I remembered the age gap. That doesn’t mean it’s not possible though. Eh, it doesn’t really matter. PPS!

I think she is Bette sister, I’m sure bette would know if she has a kid. Man I hate when there be secrets in a story and you sitting on edge to find what happen and you just wanna skip chapters to get there already
