Summer Vacation. Chapter 2
“.. Lottie?” Tina asked, questioningly. Startling Lottie who had absolutely no idea what the question had been.
“huh?”
Tina laughed, “erm, I said ‘are you getting in?’ .. this is my car.”
Half an hour later they were back in the car listening to Angie recounting the story of how Stacie F hadn’t turned up to basketball practice and so she’d got to play Stacie’s position and other Stacey, Stacey with a ‘y’ had been mad and had to play hers. Lottie listened intently. Looking at Angelica and then at Tina it was obvious that Bette had given birth to her, she had none of Tina’s colouring but oddly enough a good few of her facial features, she found herself wondering how did they do that?
“Where can I drop you?” asked Tina.
“Oh anywhere is fine, I’m staying at a hotel in town so I don’t expect you to drive me all the way back there, I’ll just get a cab.”
“You’re staying in a hotel?” Tina asked, a frown crossing her face, “Which one?”
It hadn’t been the first question she’d wanted to go with but the others were all more personal, like ‘why aren’t you staying with your family?’ and ‘why don’t your family know you’re here?’ and ‘what’s going on with you?’ all of which she knew she probably shouldn’t ask, yet.
“The Renaissance,” Lottie quietly answered.
“Fuck!” said Tina.
“Mama!” admonished Angie from the back seat.
“Sorry.” Tina replied, turning to Lottie, “The Renaissance has to be one of the most expensive hotels in Hollywood, what the? … I mean how the? … I mean … Fuck!” she sighed “I don’t know what I mean.”
“My dad is loaded.” Lottie answered simply, hoping it would signify she didn’t want to talk about it further. “People are often less willing to help you out if they think you have money, It’s no big deal and I really wanted this position. I really want to work with you over the summer but my father lives in San Francisco, so I’m staying at a hotel.”
Tina realised that mechanically she had ended up outside their West Hollywood home.
“Stay and have dinner with us?” she asked, “then get a cab back later,” adding “It’s not the Renaissance, but it’s homely.”

First off glad to hear that you have no intention of Lottie making a play for one of our girls. But somethings definitly amiss. She’s hiding something, wonder if she’s somehow related to Bette? Web cam, for B&T could be very dangerous
Something smells fishy! All of you reading this message, get your minds out of the gutter!
Please don’t tell me that Lottie is somehow Bette’s child. I read the forward like 3 times and everytime I read it I think she’s Bette’s long lost forgotten daughter. Please post ASAP!!!!!
Like the web cam idea…can they have one in your NEXT POST pleaszzzzzzzz and can we WATCH!!!!
I wrote a comment just now at the first chapter. Liking this very much. PPS
This is a great start, thanks!! :)
Bette’s long lost daughter… or Bette’s long lost half-sister by her missing mother and Lottie’s dad? Will we find out what happened to good old mom?
I’m liking this story very much. Please post soon.
me thinks it’s Bette’s daughter that she hid from Melvin or Melvin “made her give up” for adoption. PPS!!! am intrigued now
My first thought was half-sister till I remembered the age gap. That doesn’t mean it’s not possible though. Eh, it doesn’t really matter. PPS!
Intersting about who Lottie really are!
well, she somehow related to bette, either her daughter or sister
Lottie is so Bette’z kid..
this is a wonderful story with a lot of potential of things to come. awaiting the next chapter.
I think she is Bette sister, I’m sure bette would know if she has a kid. Man I hate when there be secrets in a story and you sitting on edge to find what happen and you just wanna skip chapters to get there already
