    Sun Salutations: Chapter 30 “A Reason”

    Previously:

    Bette opened her eyes to find she was grasping a large part of the shower curtain which had forcefully been ripped from many of the hooks at the top.  “Fuck”  she said loudly.  Tina giggled as she held a limp Bette and continued to lovingly kiss her.   “Baby things like this” she pointed to the half fallen shower curtain.”can be avoided if you would just admit when you are wet.”

    “Tina, I don’t have a problem admitting when I’m wet.  I just never seem to be in that situation, that’s all.”

    They both laughed as Tina held Bette’s face close to her heart on the fuzzy rug on the floor, in the bathroom, in her house, in their neighborhood, in love.

    Chapter 30:  Part 1 of 3 ~ “A Reason”

    People come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime.  When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.       ~Michelle Ventor

    ~~~~~~
    The next few months zoomed by at warped speed.  Bette couldn’t remember the last time she spent a night in her own house.  Whenever it was, it was a given that Tina was with her.  Still inseparable and desperately in love, the bond between the conjoined pair grew as time inevitably marched on.
    Helena returned from San Francisco only to soon leave again for New York.  She had been there ever since.   Her relationship with Bette was now brief and cordial.  They awkwardly danced around subjects of friendship, love & Tina Kennard. Such clumsy conversations left Helena devoid of all rhythm while Bette struggled with two left feet.  Sure the love-struck woman could discuss art, other people, work and the latest book she’d read – but she loved discussing Tina.   Unfortunately Bette was unable to share her joy with the woman who had been her closest friend since moving to LA.  Their days of deep conversations and endless hours together seemed over.  As mere acquaintances, they were now removed from the intricacies of each others lives.  Both Helena and Bette missed the friendship they once shared, but neither woman wanted to cause the other stress by trying to revive something they both knew was dying.
    Perhaps things would have been different if Helena hadn’t arrived home from San Francisco when she did.  She had taken a flight a day earlier than expected in an effort to spend more time with Bette.  As soon as she unlocked the door to her house, the unmistakable sounds of Bette and Tina’s lovemaking could be heard.  The sounds weren’t loud and alarming but mild and rather erotic.  An average person would probably describe them as sexy.  But not Helena.  She might as well have heard nails on a chalkboard with the volume turned way the hell up.    Upon realizing what she was hearing, Helena immediately felt sick to her stomach and went to a hotel for the night.  The loving couple never knew she was there.
    2. okay, if i got it right: Helena came to Bette’s life for reason (to help her after bette’s husband left) and now this reason is gone and so is Helena…i haven’t read part 2 yet, but i hope part 3: lifetime is about B&T being right for each other for a lifetime…after the way s3 is going, i really hope that fan fic will remain a happy land for B&T…thanks greenie, you made my evening, after coming home from boring work and seeing 2 chapters from you, knowing how busy you are…btw, guess what i’m drinking? ;)
    3. Oh man, props to you again for an excellent chapter. As for my trip to San Fran., you better believe those Sea lions were driving me out of my ever-loving mind at the Pier. And that friggin smell! Strangely enough, all I could do was laugh and my friend was like, “Umm, the noise they’re making isn’t that funny.” Little did she know. Hollaback with part 3 when time allows, greentea.
    4. “Both Helena and Bette missed the friendship they once shared, but neither woman wanted to cause the other stress by trying to revive something they both knew was dying.”… “Lving without you…Is like living in a world of constant fear…Hear my plea (hear my plea)…I’ve got to make you see (gotta make you see)…That our love is dying (our love is dying)…”
    5. Damn! For some strange reason my last comment wasn’t posted :( Well, you can imagine what I wrote: the story is GRRREAT, hot, sexy, interesting, fun, crazy, sensual… I absolutely love how you write. Just one plea: be nice to poor Helena!!! And keep posting! ;) A fan from the Old Continent
    6. Greentea, great chapter as always. I feel how you do about season 3, pls don’t do to Tina what IC has, she has taken the character we all know and love to soemthing dark. At least in FF we can see them how we want/
    7. Wow once again I am feeling sorry for Helena. A friend gave me a theory which as Season 3 goes on I have been giving more and more thought. The theory goes that for some reason Tina and Helena have switched bodies. The Tina you see before us in S3 is really Helena in Tina ‘s body and the Helena in S3 which we are all begining to like is in fact Tina in Helena’s body. It just makes so much sense. And you with today’s addition have added to that theory as I am feeling so sorry for Helena here. Great job.
    8. Wow Greentea, not only one but two post in one night. This is truly an exciting day for me. The computer is recovering at a slow, yet steady pace. It may be intensive care for a week or two depending on how you go with the other two parts of this trilogy. Off to read second part.
