Tasha also briefly talked of the pain of their estrangement of late. She didn’t go into detail but did state she wished she would’ve had one more chance to talk to her dad to tell him she was all right and that her life was great even though it wasn’t the life he envisioned for her. At that moment she looked dead at Alice and Alice began to tear up. As Tasha was saying this she felt she was getting her chance to tell him. As everyone listened to Tasha many tears began to flow. The one thing Tasha wanted everyone to understand was that her father was a man of commitment and had passion for what he did and believed in. She ended with 1: Corinthians verse 13.

”But the greatest of these is love, “when she read the last verse she thanked everyone, left the podium, and went outside where she broke down crying. Colonel Sanders, a man who served with Mr. Williams a longtime friend saw Tasha crying from afar. He was deeply moved by her words and decided to comfort her.

”Captain, you’ll get over this, “startled, she took a step back.

”Oh, hello colonel gosh now I am embarrassed.”

”Don’t worry sometimes it’s good to cry.” The Colonel was like an uncle to her he was just as passionate and father-like as if he was her father.

”It’s just that I wonder if he would love me as I am know.”

“Your father and I knew each other for a very long time he was like a brother to me. We shared our fears, hopes, and secrets with each other. He has been a great friend, ”he softly grabs her hands, ”Know I want you to be a strong soldier like your father and realize your strength. He would have wanted you to be happy regardless of who you are he knew who you were and loved you no less. If there is anything you need please let me know.”

”Thank you Colonel and I will.”

He sucked his teeth, ”Oh one more thing I know all about your current military problems, “the colonels revelation caused a shocked look to appear on her face, “I promised your father I’ll watch over all of you again if you need anything a favor, money, or simply just to talk again I am always here for you.” Colonel Sanders begins to choke up and walked away from the funeral to his car, with Tasha dry-eyed and ready to move on with her life.
