Talice Lovers

He was proud of her service, but he really wanted her to go on to grad school maybe be a lawyer or engineer. Tasha was into the humanities as well as the sciences and had enough credits to go in either discipline with her Sociology major or Math as a minor. He was finally coming around with the service thing when his stroke hit him. Secretly, he had wanted to reconcile with her, even try and accept her lifestyle choice because he knew when he’d have those headaches and that tingly feeling on his right side that something more was going on than just his arm going to sleep while he watched TV or having a regular ”Excedrin” headache. Alice sits down next to Tasha and puts her arm around her and just holds her as tight as she can hoping to take away Tasha’s pain.
Alice looks at Mr. Williams, then at Tasha. Tasha meets her look and Alice can see the pain, yet sense of relief on Tasha’s face. The pain of dealing with her father’s illness and possible death and the relief Tasha she felt coming clean being honest with her father about who she loved. Tasha, who is so used to dealing with things (her war experience, her sexuality) on her own, by herself, was opening up and bringing others into her world finally realizing she doesn’t have to carry all this on her own. Alice has a sense of calm of knowing that when Tasha says, ”The most important person in my life,” she’s talking about her. Alice couldn’t help think to herself, ”I haven’t felt this secure, this loved in a while, if ever and it feels good.”
There was no doubt in her mind she vowed to be there for Tasha. It’s times like this that made or break a relationship. The time spent together was great, most of the time, the bonus being the incredible sex but it was moments like this that really sealed the deal in a relationship. How you respond when someone you love is in pain, going through something serious. Alice knows she can do it she did it for Dana. That was difficult because she and Dana weren’t together, it was Dana she was losing, a second time through death. Alice knew she loved Tasha dearly and was ready to go through it all with her, the good, the bad, and the ugly. Alice is startled from her thoughts as the machines hooked up to Mr. Williams began to beep frantically he was flat lining the call light goes off, the nurses race in.

I am a true blue Tibette fan, but I love Tasha so I look forward to reading more of this fic. I did not like the Alice from the show or most of the fiction here being portrayed as a nosy busy body so I look forward to seeing her in a new light. PPS :)
