    Tina goes out with Helena??

    Chapter 11

    7 months later

     

    Tina sat in her office chair, looking out the window she remembered back to the day in Bette’s office when she had shared the good news about the job offer from Helena when Bette had advised Tina to ask for an office with a view.

    Tina had taken Bette’s advice and asked for an office with a view,  it was days like this she often thought about Bette, and how she had walked in on Bette doing was she was now doing staring out the window deep in thought.

    Today was Bette’s launch party for the Magazine “Art L.A.” Shane and Alice had invited Tina to attend but she had refused, blaming it on work related commitments.

    Tina hadn’t talked to Bette since the day at the Planet, Tina had seen her on occasion at one of the night clubs Shane and Alice would drag her to but when she would see Bette she would fake a head ache or being tired and leave often before Bette saw her and other Times they would just share a intense stare before Tina would turn around and leave. 

    She had now been at the studio for 6 months, 6 grueling months of hard work often spending 12 hours a day learning everything she could.   More than once she wanted to give up and quit, but something inside her wouldn’t let her. The first month she had gone home in tears often times broken and tired. 

    Helena was right there were people out there who wanted to see her fail people waiting for her to run ready to step in a fill her shoes. She learned rather quickly that the Hollywood life wasn’t all that glamorous.  Helena had become a great mentor to Tina; Helena had shown and given Tina the only thing she could never learn in school or find in any book… Confidence.  It was the confidence you got from, hard work and dedication.  Not the confidence that came with her new fancy clothes, the expensive car, or pricey hair cut.  She loved her job and she knew how to produce quality work.

     

    Tina was often comforted by Shane and Alice they had both become her support system, her extended family   when her days at work had become especially difficult, even Helena was starting to become a good friend. They both liked to work late and often spent the evenings together, having dinner or enjoying the occasional after work drink or cup of coffee. Tina discovered  Helena was not only a very savvy business woman feared by many but she was also very sensitive and caring she had 2 children that lived in New York with her ex-partner, that she  was very proud of. Helena also donated a lot of her money to children’s charities and like her mother Peggy was an avid art lover, and often funded the arts.

    1. Oh those earrings…hmmm…Bette sounds as though she needs some reason to stop acting a fool – 7 critical months – and poor Tina really needed her too. I wonder if Shane has been keeping Bette posted. Can’t wait to read about Bette’s expression when she sees Tina after all this time…

    3. Yes, yes a little of Tina and Helena, that might help to put some sence in Bette and she can realice of what she is losing, but I guess that she know. Jealousy is a bit…, the earring, nice.

    8. wow, i have planned to write a Telena story so I caught the description and just popped in for a read…is the Telena going to stick I wonder or will T run back to B…eventually? given time I will read backwards. Nice. I like T in red. Trust Helena gives her a great time, I love me some Helena.

    9. I can’t believe Bette has not made contact with Tina in 7 mos, is she crazy or what. And Helena does not need to get her hooks into Tina, she needs to find someone else to date and leave Tina to Bette. Besides when she sees Tina in that red dress she will be very jealous then maybe she will make a move. Great chapter. PPS

    13. loving your work! i too can’t believe Bettes done nothing for 7 months either, i really hope she suffers a little, make that a lot with the green eyed monster and Tina should not give in so easily, pps i’m really enjoying this story!

    15. Great chapter but too short. I can’t wait to see Bette’s reaction when she sees Tina. I am disappointed that she has not paid attention to Tina in seven months – but hopefully she will just feel that need to ravish Tina when she sees her! PPS
