    Chapter 12

     

    Bette was walking around the rented warehouse, greeting the many people that had attended.  The warehouse was a big open space where, Bette has a crew design and construct t floating walls, on the floating walls were framed pictures of “L Magazine” made to look like an expensive piece of art,  as well as various artist paintings and sculptures. Highlighting the center of the warehouse was a massive floating wall that hung the first cover photo of “Art L.A. Magazine”.

     

    Bette has spared no expense, the waiters carried around trays of expensive champagne and finger foods. The food was top quality and the drinks were flowing since Bette had several wet bars set up around the warehouse.

     

    Different members of the media were present; she had newspaper, T.V and radio, many different art gallery owners, various artist, art collectors, politicians, models, and Hollywood people.

    “Oh my god Bette, I can’t believe the turnout this is frickin amazing!!”  Alice said

    “Yeah Bette you did a great job with this place I have to admit when you first showed me this place I thought you a bit crazy but I must say it looks amazing like an art gallery” Shane smiled

    “Thanks Shane, believe me the last 3 months have been stressful to say the least I don’t think I’ve ever put so much hard work and time into any one project not to mention all sleepless nights” Bette said “I’m just glad we had a good turn out tonight so we can get this magazine going we have great ideas I know it’s going to be great.”

    “Well you have been working us awfully hard we deserve some time off, Oh!! After this we should take a trip somewhere” Alice jumped up and down clapping

    “Oh hey Bette there’s Kit” Shane pointed at the door

    “Hey baby sis” Kit reached over and gave Bette a huge hug “Bette I’m so proud of you this is amazing, maybe now that this is over I can have my sister back I miss you girl!”

    “I miss you too; I promise I will make my visits to the plant more frequent”

    “Yeah girl I see these two” pointing to Shane and Alice “and Tina, but I miss my baby sis”

    1. Damn I love this story! I felt like I was standing in the room watching it happen. Ilm thinkin’ Bette better come clean quickly or she’ll miss out! PPS!

    3. First off, Bette needs some serious help. Tina spends the night with her and she doesn’t even have the manners to check with her friends to see how she’s doing — in seven months??? That is the height of self-absorption. I could understand that Bette may not contact her personally but not asking Shane or Alice about her? Frankly, she deserves to have some difficulty capturing Tina’s heart after being such a ninny for so long. She’s definitely going to have competition – particularly now that Helena has figured out her interest in Tina. This story just keeps getting more interesting… I hope you post again soon. You left us hanging at the party! I am requesting at least one private moment with Tina and Bette at the party… :>)

    4. Hated that Helena was the one to see Bette’s looking at Tina with such love and lust. She can be a witch. Let Bette go after Tina tonight xont stop to think just do it. thanks

    5. Gee, how did I miss this story? Can’t believe it, so glad I caught up. Took me a good part of my Sunday LOL. My little heart broke for Tina because of Bette’s behaviour that night they shared together but I love seeing what became of the little innocent T, it made her stronger and changed her life but yet she remained this sweet and caring person. Gosh, I love how you portrayed her in this story

    7. Bette said the wrong thing to Helena because she can be a first class b–ch and will not mind rubbing Bette’s nose in it. Bette and Tina need to talk very soon and Bette needs to reign the green-eyed monster that has taken up residence in her mind. Helena will be merciless in her attack. PPS

    13. Fight…fight…fight!! LOL! Hmm, Bette has to make a play for Tina but I’m not sure how she’s going to find time now that she has 2 magazines to focus on…We need Hels to disappear (not that I don’t like her I just prefer the T&B combo)

    15. So happy there was an update – Great Chapter! Nice to see Tina worried that she has lost weight and is rundown – she should to take care of Bette. Maybe now Bette can come to terms with her feelings and go after Tina – nothing like a little competition to light a fire and need i say “let the games begin”. Need more – soon – PPS !

    18. Alpha Tina but still sweet and kind to her friends. Still humble inspite of her success. I think it’s time for Bette to realize that she will loose Tina eventually if she doesn’t find a way of pouring out what’s in her heart, especially now that Helena knows her yearning. Helena will double the effort of making Tina like her…..I love this story and thank you for posting….waiting for the next post pls.
