“No, Bette I can take it you have every right to be mad we should have called”
“But, it really wasn’t Tina’s fault, Alice and I just lost track of time, and she’s pretty freaked out by the way you acted just now”
“Yeah I know I won’t apologize though she should have known better than to be gone over 2 hrs for lunch.”
“What’s going on with you Bette, lately you’ve been all work and no play, and you have a short fuse and just know with Tina, what’s going on?” Asked Shane
“Well as far as work is concerned I have a special project I’m working its taking more of my time than I have anticipated I have a big presentation on Monday with some potential investors, backers so I’m just wound up a little tight right now I still have to run this magazine” Bette took a deep breath “And as far as Tina, I don’t know Shane I feel very protective of her for some reason, after you guys left I got a little nervous of the things that might come out of Alice’s mouth, I just didn’t want Tina’s feeling to be hurt” Bette turned around and looked at Shane “You know she makes sure I eat when I’m stuck here all day, she calls Kits asks her what I like for lunch and dinner and orders it for me, and then she harasses me to eat it.” Bette laughed “No one has ever done that for me, not even Allison. Don’t get me wrong I miss Allison the office runs like clockwork but with Tina there’s like a personal touch in everything she does, am I making sense? Or am I just crazy?” Bette sits in her chair and runs her finger sin her hair in frustration
“Shane I don’t know what’s going on with me, maybe Alice is right maybe I am getting old, maybe I need a vacation”
“Bette, if you need help with the work load you know you can always ask me I’ll try and help you any way I can” Offered Shane
“As far as Tina, I can’t help you there, I have no idea what’s going on with you, but I do know you took her head off a minute ago, she’s afraid you’re going to fire her”

Something tells me Tina is going to ask Alice to help her with a makeover! I can see it now–Tina’s going to come in Monday morning with a brand new look and it will make Bette take notice!! Catherine who?? LMAO I love this story. Don’t keep us waiting long for an update! PPS
great chapter – I really like this story! I hope Alice tells Bette everything she knows about Tina – and i agree with the other posts I hope Alice helps her with a makeover. Its clear that these two are attracted to each other. I can’t wait to read more! PPS
Man what a heart wrenching story Tina told…and I think Tina is mega jealous of Catherine, but worry not; I get the feeling no matter how sexy Catherine is, Bette only had eyes for one woman…Tina! Bet she’ll finally realize it tonight while she’s out with Catherine. PPS can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for us.
Alice need to take Tina shopping, I like to see Bette’s face when Tina comes back after that….
I dont like Catherine. Like Tina said, she does what she can on the limited income. How many of them has worked two jobs and still the head of her class>If Tina had the money she would realy know how to dress. She clean,had the money to have braces put on,she eat frugely and now has a beautiful smile and the glasses are next. Her family is missing out on a wonderful person That is who we should feel sad for, they have and will miss so much Thanks so much

She didn’t notice her jacket cause she was only looking at her eyes and her breasts!!! Tina’s story was heartbreaking, but I have a feeling Bette will be making her feel much better very soon, right? Great chapter, PPS.
