“I’m not going to fire her Shane; she’s great at what she does”
“So what did you guys talk about at lunch for 2 hours?” Bette asked
“I really have to get to work boss I actually have a meeting with the Cover Girl people for a 2 page add they’re interested in, how about we get together tomorrow for breakfast at the Planet my treat?” asked Shane
“Yeah ok, Planet 8:00??” asked Bette
“K, see you then, Bye!”
“Oh, hey Shane can you send Tina in please?”
“Sure”
Bette sits back in her chair staring at the ceiling trying to put her thoughts together.
“Bette, you wanted to see me?”
“Yes, Tina please have a seat” Bette said motioning to the chair.
“Tina, I shouldn’t have talked to you that way in front of Alice and Shane, if I had an issue with you I should have talked to you in private. Shane explained that it wasn’t your fault. Next time just give me a call let me know you’re going to be late, ok?”
“Yes Bette” Tina replied looking down at her hands.
Bette got up from her chair and walked around her desk stood in front of the chair Tina was sitting on, she reach out to cup Tina’s chin pulling her face to look at her Bette looked into Tina’s eyes God those eyes Bette thought she could get lost in Tina’s eyes, Bette could look into Tina’s soul looking in to her eyes. Finally Bette shook her head and said
“Are you ok?”
“Yeah, yeah Bette I’m sorry I’m ok” Tina pulled her head back abruptly freeing herself from Bette touch. “I’m sorry for acting like such a baby I was just afraid I had disappointed you, I didn’t want to disappoint you Bette”
“Tina you didn’t disappoint me, I guess I’m just having a stressful day” Bette said
“Anything I can do to help?”
“Actually there is, Tina I’m going to tell you something that you have to promise not to tell anyone, the deal hasn’t gone through and I don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up do you think you can do that for me?”
“Sure Bette I can keep a secret”
“Ok, listen I have a meeting on Monday with some positional investors for a new magazine I want to develop, a magazine that will focus on the arts, artist, galleries, all aspects of the art world”

Something tells me Tina is going to ask Alice to help her with a makeover! I can see it now–Tina’s going to come in Monday morning with a brand new look and it will make Bette take notice!! Catherine who?? LMAO I love this story. Don’t keep us waiting long for an update! PPS
great chapter – I really like this story! I hope Alice tells Bette everything she knows about Tina – and i agree with the other posts I hope Alice helps her with a makeover. Its clear that these two are attracted to each other. I can’t wait to read more! PPS
Man what a heart wrenching story Tina told…and I think Tina is mega jealous of Catherine, but worry not; I get the feeling no matter how sexy Catherine is, Bette only had eyes for one woman…Tina! Bet she’ll finally realize it tonight while she’s out with Catherine. PPS can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store for us.
Alice need to take Tina shopping, I like to see Bette’s face when Tina comes back after that….
I dont like Catherine. Like Tina said, she does what she can on the limited income. How many of them has worked two jobs and still the head of her class>If Tina had the money she would realy know how to dress. She clean,had the money to have braces put on,she eat frugely and now has a beautiful smile and the glasses are next. Her family is missing out on a wonderful person That is who we should feel sad for, they have and will miss so much Thanks so much

She didn’t notice her jacket cause she was only looking at her eyes and her breasts!!! Tina’s story was heartbreaking, but I have a feeling Bette will be making her feel much better very soon, right? Great chapter, PPS.
