They put the dog on the leash and walked around the neighborhood for about 20 minutes. It was a beautiful evening. Bette and Tina walked arm in arm while Angie walked slightly ahead of them holding onto Riley’s leash.

When they got back to the house Bette helped Angie with her bath. While she was bathing her daughter they had a talk about Angie giving her mommies privacy.

“Sweetie I need to ask you to do something for mommy and me. You know before when we would be here by ourselves you would sometimes sleep with me or I would leave the bedroom door open so you could come into my room?”

“Yes Momma.”

“Well since mommy is sleeping in there now she and I need to have privacy sometimes. When we want to be alone we may close the bedroom door. You understand privacy right? Like when you are using the bathroom and you lock the door so others don’t see you.”

“Yes Momma.”

“So we will have a new rule that if our bedroom or bathroom door is closed we need you to please knock and wait until one of us tells you it’s OK to come in before you open it OK?”

“OK Momma.”

“Thank you baby.”

“Momma, can I still sleep with you and Mommy if I get scared?”

“Sure sweetie and we’ll lie in your bed with you sometimes too if we get scared, but there’s really nothing to be scared of except the tickle monster.”

Angie only realizes what Bette has said once she starts tickling her. They splash water in fits of laughter. They finish in the bath, clean up and Angie gets ready for bed. Tina was taking her shower in the meantime so she comes into Angie’s room to say goodnight. They do story time and Tina reads to Angie while Bette takes her shower. Angie is tucked in and has started dozing off when Bette comes in to say goodnight.

Bette and Tina turn out the lights and pull their daughter’s door in. Once in their bedroom they make it an early night; no love making. Tonight they just want to hold each other. They have a marathon make-out session then they lay with their bodies close and their legs entwined as they drift off to sleep.
