“I’m good. Are you back from Vancouver?”

“Yeah. We wrapped the filming a couple of days ago. I have a good feeling about this one. It should be a blockbuster for the studio.”

“That’s great Kate. I’m happy for you. I want an invitation to the Academy Awards when you get nominated for Best Director.”

“Will that invitation be for two?”

“Yes. I suppose it will be.”

“So you took my advice?”

“Actually Angie was the one that gave me the final push but yes Bette and I are back together. Angie and I moved back into the house last night.”

”Well that didn’t take long. I guess my intuition about you two was right.”

”Kate, I’m really sorry that I wasn’t honest with you or with myself about my feelings for Bette. I never stopped loving her and she never stopped loving me. We’ve been running away from each other for years. You were the first person that forced me to finally face it and do something about it. I’m sorry you got hurt in the process.”

“Hey. Don’t be sorry. You know how they say that some people are in our lives for a reason and some for a season. I guess my purpose was to help you see what’s been in front of you all along. I’m not saying I’m not hurt Tina, but I am truly happy for you two. Make it last this time. It’s the real thing and it’s very rare that you get a second chance at something like that. Don’t ever take it for granted.”

“I know. Bette’s entrusted me with her heart again and I will take better care of it this time.”

“I’m happy to hear it.”

“Hey do you want to have lunch sometime or something?”

“Tina do you really think that’s a good idea? I mean maybe eventually after some time has passed but to be honest I think my feelings are too raw right now to see you anytime soon. How’s Angie handling the reconciliation?”

“She couldn’t be happier. It’s a wish come true for her. I told her maybe she could see you when you got back.”
