The Gathering 01.06 ~*~ Love Is A Splendorous Thing

            Marina and Jenny were sitting by the pool Jenny was wrapped up in a large towel and they were talking about the newest ***** trend and how everyone seemed to be going *****.  Jenny also told her about the newest story she was writing, that was quickly growing into a novel.

            Sam was saying goodnight to Lara who’d avoided Dana most of the evening.  They stood at Lara‘s taxi Sam having given the driver money and Lara was trying to pay her back.  They were standing rather close to one another and Lara gave her a slow kiss in her warm cheek.

            Shane was standing on the balcony, watched as Sam and Lara played the flirting game.  Shane took a deep breath unsure of why her emotions were suddenly getting the better of her.  A tight feeling in the pit of her stomach ensued.  First Cheri and now this?  When did ***** lead to love? Never in her life at least not until Cheri, she was vulnerable and she didn’t like it.

            Alice took Dana‘s hand pulling her close into a dance as Kit changed the song to a slow song.  Alice looked at Dana really looking at her for the first time tonight.  She was wearing a ***** outfit and had been taking her breath away all night.

            Bette sat with Tina their legs hanging in the pool.  Bette oblivious to her expensive suit having been soaked in pool water. The warm water lapping at their ankles.  They were talking, but had agreed to keep it to all subjects neutral.  It seemed to be working, they were laughing softly.  Neither of them touching the other, they just looked like two old friends, who hadn’t seen each other in a long while.

            Ivan danced with Kit it was Kit that was leading this whole relationship.  They took baby steps every day.  Ivan was encouraged with each passing day that she was slowing winning over Kit.  Kit was relishing in her new life, the Planet, her sobriety and even in her new life with Ivan.

            “I think it’s all a fad.  In a few years it will be something else.  It’s like big hair bands in the 80′s.  There are shows with lesbians at every flick of the channel I’m starting to wonder what this is all about.”  Jenny stated taking a sip of the perfectly made drink that Marina had given her moments before.
