“It is about love I think people are just finally realizing that the world is not black and white.  Instead it’s a rainbow of colors different shades of people and different hues of emotions.  They have finally admitted to themselves that falling in love isn’t about a woman being with a man, or a man with a woman, it’s about love.  Pure.  Simple.  Unadulterated.  Love.”  Marina explained her voice soft and ***** with her accent wrapping effortlessly around her words.

            “Is that what you really think?  I’m so confused by some of these emotions that I keep feeling it’s like I’m being pulled in every imaginable direction.  I look at people now and they all hold these endless possibilities, not just as friends, but as love interests.”  Admitted Jenny, who’d been having a relationship with a man and a woman at the same time.

            “Yes, I think it’s true.  I was with Francesca, but it wasn’t for love.  I see that now, but that was my problem.  I saw financial stability as love.  I didn’t see it when it was right in front of my eyes.”  Marina sighed sipping the rest of her drink.

            “I hope you had a good time?”  Sam asked standing next to Lara.  She wondered why Dana had let such a tempting woman get away from her.

            “I did.  I was thinking that we could do it again maybe just me and you this time?  Or would you rather we just be friends?  That would be fine with me too.  I really enjoyed talking to you tonight.”  Sam smiled nodding that she too had enjoyed the evening.

            “I think friends is good for now.  I thought that maybe I was ready for something more.  I don’t think I am and I don’t want to waste our relationship on a failed attempt at each of us getting over someone.”  Lara stiffened she’d been worried that Sam had seen how she’d stared at Dana from time to time during the night.

            “I’m sorry.  I really thought…”  Lara stammered and Sam grinned again putting Lara totally at ease in one simple gesture. 

            “No, please don’t say sorry.  I’m really honored to have met you Lara.  I think friends is a good way to start.”  She pulled Lara in for a hug, and opening the door for Lara to get into the car.
