"Ooh, good choice," Bette smiled sweetly. "I think I’m gonna go with the steak."
Tina couldn’t help but smile. Bette was so cute. Tina could already sense her vulnerable side surfacing.
Once their appetizer had arrived, Bette looked over it with a smile, nodding appreciatively.
"Try it," Tina insisted, taking some herself.
"What, you’re not going to feed it to me?" Bette grinned, catching a similar smile from Tina as she brought the food to her own mouth.
After having a taste, Bette was impressed. "It’s actually really good."
"And you doubted me," Tina said, shaking her head.
"Shame on me," Bette teased, very much enjoying the evening.
"Bad girl," Tina teased back with a grin, trying to keep her laughter in as she brought some split peas to her mouth.
Bette looked in shock as she chuckled, trying not to choke on her food. Just as she was recovering from Tina’s comment, her phone began to vibrate in her purse and she rushed to shut it off.
Tina smiled watching Bette’s frustration as she looked for it. "You can answer it you know."
Bette let out a breath of laughter when she read the text message. She smiled at Tina, "It’s okay, it’s only a text message from my friend Alice."
"So text her back," Tina said, taking another sip of wine.
"I don’t really know if I want to get involved with her silly comments right now."
"It’s about me, isn’t it?" Tina smiled, shaking her head.
"Nothing bad," Bette smiled, "I just want her to leave me alone. I don’t want to egg her on, you know?"
"Well, give it to me. I bet she won’t message you back then."
Bette squinted partially, looking to her side at the blonde with a grin. "What are you going to write?"
"Just give it to me," Tina laughed, accepting the cell phone and reading ‘How is the teasey blondie?’ She chuckled and replied, handing the phone back to Bette shortly. "There."
Bette checked her outbox and started laughing. "Oh my god, she’s probably fainted!"
"Oh it’s not that bad," Tina smiled, "And she started it."
Bette chuckled, reading out the message in disbelief. ‘Teasey blondie is busy with wet brunette.’
"Was that bad?" Tina smiled, resting her head in her hand.
"I’m sure she hears that all the time," Bette grinned and put her cell phone away. "You know, you are just full of surprises this evening."
"Yeah, well don’t let me drink," Tina smiled, touching the rim of her glass.
"And this is my job to stop you?" Bette asked, taking another sip of her red wine.
"Well, I think you’ll agree I get a little … unpredictable … with alcohol." Tina smiled. "And that is why one drink will do just fine."
Bette shook her head, "Lightweight?
"Very much so," Tina agreed, "But I am still behaving."
"Well, on physical terms, yes."
"Yes, it’s probably a wise decision to keep some space between us," Tina smirked.
"Yes," Bette agreed, feeling that tingle again, "Don’t worry. I would never take advantage of you anyways."
"Aww," Tina pouted with a smile.
Bette couldn’t keep her laughter from coming out. "Aww?" After settling down with a low chuckle, she continued, "You are so cruel."
Tina’s chuckle quietened and she looked up to Bette. "But I can be good."
"I’d like to see that," Bette smiled.
"Hey, I’ll show you," Tina smiled, "All night I will behave myself."
"And you think that’s what I want?" Bette teased, realizing they had already finished the appetizer.
"Mmm," Tina started, making Bette look up with desire. Tina leaned in a bit and whispered, "I’ll be so good … you’ll be begging for me to misbhave."
Bette let out her breath as she heard that, locking eyes with Tina shortly after.

As I sit here and read this fabulous story with its witty sexual banter, I just ask myself one thing…why oh why couldn’t Ilene have given us just a smigden of this in S6? Cripes! I guess that’s for another discussion. I love this chappie! A dinner date filled with flirting — such a delicacy.
