    The L Wing – chapter 210

    _________________________________________________

Its almost 7pm when Leigh finally drags Melvin away from his grand-daughter – they leave even though I think he wanted to take Ella with him. Lucy heads off back to Washington -and finally the house is just occupied by Bette,Ella and me – it feels good. I go in search of my wife who is working on dinner – in fact I haven’t seen her in a couple of hours.

She is in the kitchen just taking a beef joint out of the oven -it smells heavenly

    “That smells great “

“it does – I just want to let it breathe – then I’ll carve it – you hungry ?”

    “I am for that “

“Good – you fancy a glass of wine ?”

    I nod “ Sure “

Bette checks on the vegetables steaming away and makes her way to the sitting room. I follow her so I can check out her ass – yeah – still the killer Porter ass. Maybe tonight is going to be fine- just the two of us. Bette pours us both a glass of red wine and we sit on the sofa together . Even though I am allowed wine and beer again I have been restricting myself. But this is nice – I take a sip and put the glass down

“Its good to have the place to ourselves “”

“”It is – did you check that dad didn’t sneak out with Ella under his jacket ?”

“I did – he just adores her “

“Easy to do – she’s wonderful and he loves that she is a Porter “

Bette sips her wine and lies back

“Its terrific when Lucy and Leigh are here but its even better when we have the house to ourselves and we can get to hold our daughter and not have to beat away aunties and grand-parents “

“You still cannot get over the time you went about six hours without being able to hold her because Kit and my parents were there and hogging her “

“Well now you mention it “

“She is going to be lucky “

    “She is “

I move closer to Bette and rest my head on her shoulder. She hold me close and I move nearer to her. I put my feet up so I can rest myself against her fully.

    “You okay ?”

“Its good that we are alone “ I say

    “You think so ?”

“I know that everyone loves Ella but we have to get used to being a unit of three – and we do need to remind ourselves that we’re married “

“We are – how are you feeling ?”

    “Better “

    “That’s good – any reason ?”

“Some wise words from my father in law and also some sage advice from my sister “

Bette chuckles “That’s worrying – my dad is not the world’s expert on lesbians “

“But as he told me – he does know women “

“He should do -he’s had enough of them “

“He just said something that made me think about myself and about us “

    “Dare I ask ?”

I put my hand on Bette’s face and move closer and we kiss. The kiss is chaste at first -slow and restrained but after a few seconds the kiss gets more serious – I open my mouth – inviting her to do the same – she eases her tongue into my mouth and they touch and move together. I ease my hand under her shirt and rest it on her stomach – its so flat and sexy. I massage her stomach for a few minutes as we kiss with more and more passion. Bette eases away and touches my breast

“I think I owe the old man dinner or a case of wine if he’s inspired this mood in you “

“Shut up and kiss me Porter – I’ll tell you when to stop “

    1. HEAR, HEAR, FUNNYONE! Come on, ally, reconnection time. Bette’s waited long enough. It’s odd how when you first started this story I could never believe BP as the POTUS but the manner in which you’ve woven this story w/all its characters makes it totally believable. That’s a true testament to your abilities as a writer. PPS and more of TLWing.

    2. AllyE, soryy about you and Cheryl, remaining friends is important, learn from it. Ms. Right is still out there somewhere. This was another great chapter and I’m glad Melvin had a talk with her and make her realize that how she sees herself is not how everyone else sees her and most especially her wife, who never sees anything but the beautiful, warm and loving that she fell in love with and married, and now the wonderful loving mother of their daughter. We should all be so blessed. Having someone love you like that is truly a blessing.Thank you for this wonderful story. I must go back to the very beginning, I missed the first few chapters.PPS

    3. It’s good that you and C can still remain friends after splitting up. That’s a great testament to your friendship and the bond that is there. It’s to be applauded. As for this chapter, what a way to tease us!!! Come on, Bette needs a little and so do we!! LOL

    4. Well I guess I´d wanna be Bette too, I mean who wouldn´t. I´m sorry about your relationship but that you part as friends also shows how much you mean to oneanother. I took a break from life the other day and strolled through your many stories. For lack of a better word: Wauw! Such amazing stories, such great dialogue – hope you never stop . .and that you spent the rest of this rainy sunday in front of the computer!

    5. Sorry about C, Ally. Long distance relationships are tough. That you part as friends is a credit to you both. Your Melvin is so much nicer than the one we got on the show. Kinder and wiser if not smarter. And still alive! Now how about a chapter of um, er, ah, reconnecting?
