    Monday Monday — can’t trust that day

     

    “Before we begin I just want to apologize for how foul  tempered I was last week. There is no excuse for how I spoke to all of you – I offer no justification. You are all invaluable to me and I know that I cannot operate without my team. It is a pleasure working with a bunch of amazing, intelligent, dedicated and passionate women. I have added four extra days to all your leave entitlements – I hope you enjoy your days away from me”

     

    There is a silence that is an indication that Bette has never apologized for her high handedness before. I always sit in the same seat during senior staff – where the others cannot see me unless they turn to look at me.

     

    Bette catches my eye when the others are looking at one another in amazement. I take hold of the necklace she gave me and I touch the heart – hoping to convey to her how much I love this woman. I can see in her eyes that she only wants one woman – me.

     

    “Okay – don’t all gush at once – lets get on with business ” she looks at Shane.

     

    Shane starts the meeting but right from the start everyone knows that she is struggling. Bette isn’t looking at her at first – she is reading a memo while still joining in the discussion about what we have to deal with in the next few days.

     

    After one issue has been done to death the room falls silent – normally Shane moves the meeting along briskly but not today.

    It is clear that she is not only floundering but utterly lost. I see Bette looking at Shane who is staring at the floor. Bette looks at the others and then at me. The others are too in awe to step in which means that I have to intervene.

     

    “I’m sorry Madam President – Shane was saying earlier that she wasn’t feeling too well – would you mind if she stepped out

     for a while ?”

     

    Alice looks at Shane, then at me. Carmen is looking at Shane, Dana is looking at me – we could call this scene study in confusion.

    9. Damn! Poor Shane, there’s very little that’s more painful than unrequieted, unspoken love. Hope she’ll be able to keep functioning and find someone of her own. Been wondering where you’d got to, hoping for rapid improvement, life and computer-wise.

    10. “Monday, Monday, sometimes it just turns out that way…” I had a fleeting thought earlier that Shane might see Bette as more than a boss and a friend. I can understand Shane’s jealousy too. I mean, she was Bette’s main woman so to speak for so long until Tina came along. As for the real life problems, I hope they continue to improve.

    11. Repeat after me: the word for today is “awkward!” I can’t wait to see how this plays out in your excellent story. More importantly, I hope life cuts you some slack soon. All the best.

    14. what!!!!! shane and Bette, now thats a matching i would like to see, but maybe in another story because this story, i hope, is totally only going to be a Tibette story. anyway love it and plz continue!

Please feed us, especially on Monday’s because with the way S3 is going Sunday’s really suck for TiBette lovers.Now to you, please know that when we send you pm’s and comments asking for more chapters, it is only out of our love for your talent as a writer and okay our LUST for your story LOL. I hope that our love for your story brings joy to you and good luck with your computer problems (I have had problems that has taken a committee of friends to solve, but we seem to get through it.).     21. Loving your writing, was giggling along as usual (particularly liked “we could call this scene study in confusion.”) and then you got me all subdued and pensive. Poor Shane. Cool twist – very interested to see how it plays out. I agree with the Carmen suggestion and trust you to work Shane’s feelings out in a suitably slow and thorough fashion. I adore this story and missed it while you were away, however your happiness is obviously more important than slaking the apparently infinite desire of your readers. Update when you can and be good to yourself. Thanks for writing.

    27. So Shane is crushin on Bette; well that explains why she was so against the preshooking up w/ Tina. Now that Shane’s secret has been revealed how is she going to see Tina and every day??? On to the next chapter.
