    Tina tells all

     

     

    Tina’s parents have gone home – I have promised I will phone later with news of how this hypnosis session went. Emma did not want this but as I have power of attorney I made the ultimate decision to go ahead with this.

    They are in the sitting room of the Residence – Tina is sitting in a chair – I have dressed her in jeans and a shirt. As soon as I enter the room I go across and kiss her brow.

     

     

    Hey babe – you look good

     

    I touch her face. There have been a couple of occasions when it has seemed that she responds to me – but it has been fleeting.

    I turn to Dr Gage

     

    I am Bette Porter

    Dr Katherine Gage

     

    We shake hands

     

    You were recommended to me as the best.

     

     

    I am the best Madam President

     

    You can help Tina for sure ?

     

    Yes

     

    You have seen her file ?

     

     

    I have looked at all the material your office sent over.

     

    Do you have any questions ?

    Does Tina have any idea what is going on around her ?

     

     

    I would say yes

     

    So why can she not speak to us ?

     

     

    I imagine she cannot fight the pictures and sounds that are going on in her head.

     

    She is re-living what happened ?

     

    She has been re-living it on and off since it happened but obviously the assassination attempt has blocked out everything else.

     

    Often this is harder on those closest to the patient — how are you holding up ?

     

    I do not deal well with powerless.

     

    Well I imagine that comes with the job.

     

    No – it goes with being Bette Porter.

     

     

    You should probably consider some help too.

     

     

    When and only when Tina starts to make progress. She is my first, last and only concern.

    All the same – you announce your engagement and 24 hours later someone tries to kill you – it would make me paranoid.

     

     

    He was a lone gunman – no conspiracy – a sick individual who wanted to die and figured out that my secret service detail were the best shots in the business.

I hope this story never ends. 2ndly, could you clarify this part (Am abit dense)…”No – I love her more – because I realise what she has brought to my life – so in time I will be able to forgive both of them – but at the moment if Emily was not already dead I would strangle her.”…um was Bette refering to Tina or Emily when she said “I would strangle her”

    16. If you can write and make us feel all that we are when reading your story, then hopefully you have accomplished all you set out to do. You’ve had us, lusting, drooling, stressing, laughing, and with this one, most definitly crying. I would say the goal is being met. Fantastic. This story hooked us from the begining, and it just keeps getting better. Hats off to Bette, for standing by Tina, even after finding out the truth. With Bette by her side Tina will move forward, but I still believe she needs to really know who Emily was, they have so much ahead of them, secrets should not be part of it. You keep it coming, and will keep reading.

You bring out all the love that Bette has for Tina and at the same time show us her pain. I think this chapter really shows that true love can conquer any obstacles.     40. This is a hard one. You want to be mad at Tina for hurting Bette by sleeping with Emily. But then you hear her side of the story and begin to understand what was happening. Emily brought a lot of that on herself. Not that Tina didn’t help the matter. Bette has got to be torn in to. She loves Tina deeply and at one point loved Emily. As you mentioned in earlier chapter that by holding it in Bette is not helping herself or Tina. Maybe during her summer break she will be able tosit down and talk to Tina about Emily. Great chapter to a heart wrenching story.

I just got home from holidays in the warm warm north (ie im a southern hemisphere girlie) and it was fantastic to come home and find answers to a few Lost questions (wednesdays episode) and puzzles in this :D fantastic! (also the 3 CDs worth of LW stuff my mate gave me :D….and the tapes…tehehe)

    46. Sooooooooooo nicely done, and well put together. There is no way that Bette should tell Tina that Emily was her ex at this time, Tina is still too frigle mentally. Tina needs time to mentally healand gain er footing. She does need to know but much, much later because it was not anything that was intentionally mean spirited by either parties, and Bette learn some inportant information. Bette needs to assure Tina that she is indeed commited to her and their future together. Bette is so right, the situation had alot to do with Emily cheating on her and she should not let the past ruin what appears to be a bright future fot her and Tina. Please continue :o)
