Suicide by cop ?
Yes – but he wanted it to be grander – he was aiming at the ceiling of the box. It was a ricochet that killed a member of my staff – can we start Dr Gage – I do not want Tina to suffer any longer than I have to.
Dr Gage moves a chair so she can sit opposite Tina. I sit to one side so I am not in my way but I am close to the woman I love.
Dr Gage gets Tina to close her eyes and slowly starts hypnotising her – it is a fascinating to watch. Gradually Tina’s breathing gets more shallow and after 10 minutes – Dr Gage begins.
Where are you Tina ?
Outside Khashpar, Afghanistan
What is the weather like ?
Its freezing – it has been snowing for the last week.
How do you feel ?
Anxious.
Why ?
I have been to see a local warlord – trying to get him to talk to the BBC – I use an English accent because I know he will never talk to me if he finds out I am American. The warlord controls a faction that are holding some hostages and he might be interested in handing them back.
How did it go ?
Not that bad – my accent did not give me away.
Are you alone ?
I was when I went to see him – took him some medical supplies but I have a minder – Emily.
Who is she ?
She has been assigned by her boss to help us out – to try and get the hostages you know ?
What is she like ?
Lovely – really gentle. I slept with her last night.
Somehow I suppress the need to sob – I clench my fists together. I cannot leave her side – I have to get her back.
Really ?
Its tough out here and I am tired – I don’t remember the last time I had anything other than a cold shower – I have head lice – I haven’t seen my parents in a year. But I am really getting some great stories.

That’s fucked up. No wonder Tina wouldn’t talk about it. You do know T will find out about Emily sooner or later.

I hope this story never ends. 2ndly, could you clarify this part (Am abit dense)…”No – I love her more – because I realise what she has brought to my life – so in time I will be able to forgive both of them – but at the moment if Emily was not already dead I would strangle her.”…um was Bette refering to Tina or Emily when she said “I would strangle her”Â
Great update mate, drama queen eh, never would of guessed!! Hoping Tina will be able to slowly come to terms with her past, but not until I get back from the hols!!

Fuck. That was one of the most intense things I’ve ever read here.
If you can write and make us feel all that we are when reading your story, then hopefully you have accomplished all you set out to do. You’ve had us, lusting, drooling, stressing, laughing, and with this one, most definitly crying. I would say the goal is being met. Fantastic. This story hooked us from the begining, and it just keeps getting better. Hats off to Bette, for standing by Tina, even after finding out the truth. With Bette by her side Tina will move forward, but I still believe she needs to really know who Emily was, they have so much ahead of them, secrets should not be part of it. You keep it coming, and will keep reading.

Ally, I haven’t read such a heartbreaking beautifully written chapter since I read your Christmas story–It’s a wonderful life, Bette Porter. You bring out all the love that Bette has for Tina and at the same time show us her pain. I think this chapter really shows that true love can conquer any obstacles. I feel very honored and privileged to be able to call you my best friend.

This is a hard one. You want to be mad at Tina for hurting Bette by sleeping with Emily. But then you hear her side of the story and begin to understand what was happening. Emily brought a lot of that on herself. Not that Tina didn’t help the matter. Bette has got to be torn in to. She loves Tina deeply and at one point loved Emily. As you mentioned in earlier chapter that by holding it in Bette is not helping herself or Tina. Maybe during her summer break she will be able tosit down and talk to Tina about Emily. Great chapter to a heart wrenching story.

I just got home from holidays in the warm warm north (ie im a southern hemisphere girlie) and it was fantastic to come home and find answers to a few Lost questions (wednesdays episode) and puzzles in this :D fantastic! (also the 3 CDs worth of LW stuff my mate gave me :D….and the tapes…tehehe)

Stupid me, I was so excited there was another chapter I missed the warning. Nothing like crying at work.
Sooooooooooo nicely done, and well put together. There is no way that Bette should tell Tina that Emily was her ex at this time, Tina is still too frigle mentally. Tina needs time to mentally healand gain er footing. She does need to know but much, much later because it was not anything that was intentionally mean spirited by either parties, and Bette learn some inportant information. Bette needs to assure Tina that she is indeed commited to her and their future together. Bette is so right, the situation had alot to do with Emily cheating on her and she should not let the past ruin what appears to be a bright future fot her and Tina. Please continue :o)

I wish I was as talented with words as you are so that my comments could do justice to your story, but I can’t.
