The door opened and Shane, Kit and Helena appeared. Kit hurried across and embraced Bette.
“You scared us baby sis “
“I scared myself “
“Dr Hope says that you have preeclampsia – is the baby alright ? “
Shane asked concerned but also thrilled that Tina was sitting on the bed beside Bette and they were holding hands like it was the most natural thing in the world.
“He’s not kicking but in a few hours the doctor says he will start responding again “
The door opened and a tall, handsome Doctor with curly dark hair strolled in.
“Hia – I’m Dr Jolston – I’m Dr Hope’s assistant — she thought you might like to see your latest sonogram “
He handed Bette a Polaroid snap – Bette’s eyes filled with tears.
“He is getting huge – look Tina “
Tina accepted the picture and beamed at Bette. Helena and Shane exchanged smiles – it was so good to see the two partners back together and so clearly devoted.
“I’ll go and see if I can get Alice to come inside – if I tell her the two of you are cuddling her nosiness should get the better of her “
Shane said and received a nod of approval from Helena.
“I need to get to that meeting as well Tina “
“Oh damn “
Tina looked at the Englishwoman
“Don’t worry Tina – stay with Bette – you and I can talk later about what time off you need while Bette is in hospital “
“Its going to be longer — she cannot travel and she has to have rest for the remaining months of the pregnancy “
“So you are staying in LA ? “ Kit said happily.
Bette looked at Tina and finally looked at her sister.
“I’ have to stay so he will be born here and then I’m going back to London with the two most precious things in my life — my partner and our son “

Glad that the baby and Bette are okay and that Tina and Bette have found their way back to each other where they belong. But knowing you I am sure we are all in for more drama before to much time passes. I can also see the way being made for your great humor. tHAT WAS AMAZING For awhile though that Bette or the baby was not going to make it. They might go to Londan but will never stay,as both of their hearts are in LA as well as all the people they love. thanks for posting today
