“And Alice I am going to need you to make sure that Bette gets the rest that she needs. She is going to need supervision “
“I am not a geriatric – I do not need supervision “
“Oh yes you do Porter — as I remember from all the baby books that I read complete bed rest is bad for your condition but you are going to have to be house bound. So Alice — want to help me with Operation Porter Peaceful Time. “
“It will take a strong rope to keep Bette from going all over the place “
“Exactly — so Alice – can I appoint you and Shane my second lieutenants in charge of this difficult woman ? “
Alice laughed – it was going to be a laugh trying to stop Bette Porter from rushing all over the place.
“I am proud to accept the commission General Kennard “
“But we have a price “ Shane said grinning
“What’s that ? “
“The story of how you two are obviously now a couple again “
Tina got on the bed beside Bette and put her arm around her – Bette instinctively moved closer to her.
“Say who we’re a couple Alice ? “Tina said laughing.
“Just a guess come on you two — you know that we’ve been trying to get the two of you to talk and you’ve been so distant – even nasty to one another “
Shane said finding a chair and pulling it up nearer the bed. Alice perched herself at the bottom of the bed. It was so good to see Bette and Tina so relaxed in each others company even after the scare that they had all had. Alice noticed other things as well – like how Bette wasn’t fighting Tina about them all taking care of her, like how Tina’s eyes sparkled when she looked at Bette – and how Tina kept touching her partner’s face.
“After the funeral – when we were in the Planet and I went to sit on my own. Tina came through to talk to me and that’s when we started to realise that we could have something again. Henry saw us in a position that he didn’t like “

Glad that the baby and Bette are okay and that Tina and Bette have found their way back to each other where they belong. But knowing you I am sure we are all in for more drama before to much time passes. I can also see the way being made for your great humor. tHAT WAS AMAZING For awhile though that Bette or the baby was not going to make it. They might go to Londan but will never stay,as both of their hearts are in LA as well as all the people they love. thanks for posting today
