Bette cryptically appeared from the kitchen, her face gone pale. The question was in her eyes – what did she do?
Wanting to spare Bette from any unnecessary concern, Tina answered right away. “She left me a note, and she lured me to your office, and she kissed me. I … I kissed her back – but-that’s-only-cause-I-thought-it-was-you! I swear. She tricked me. I thought it was you there waiting for me …”
She didn’t want to confess the next part, because she felt guilty for having been put in the situation in the first place. Even having done nothing wrong, she felt horrible guilt, but she continued anyway.
“She … tried to blackmail me … with our relationship. She wanted me to kiss her again.”
“What else did she do?”
“She … k-kissed my neck.” Tina held her breath, watching Bette’s anger. She felt awful – as if she had caused it all herself.
“What else?”
“Nothing,” Tina whispered, getting up from the couch. “I’m sorry.”
Tina had misread Bette’s anger – she’d been furious with Helena for toying with Tina’s emotions, and for kissing her. But Tina had misunderstood, and Bette was shocked at that. “What? … Why?”
“I don’t know … I just feel like all of this could have been avoided …?”
“Tina,” Bette breathed, rushing over to pull Tina into another, stronger hug. “Don’t think that … oh god, Tina … I’m so mad at her right now. I could … well, I could do some things I would regret later, I’m sure.” She held Tina as close as she could, with one hand on the back of Tina’s head. “Did she hurt you?”
It’s not me I’m worried about, Tina thought to herself, finally smiling at Bette’s words. Just when she thought she would be blamed, Bette was taking her side. Bette was protecting her, and Tina knew she should answer sooner rather than later. “No, I’m okay.”
“Are you sure?” Bette cooed softly, persuading Tina to lift her chin again so she could see the smile there. “My poor girl.”
Tina’s eyes finally lifted to show her exhaustion. While the drama was over, she was tired. Still, she was entirely relieved that her heart could return to its usual,rhythmic beat. She could breathe again.

Thank you for the second post today. This story keeps getting better and better. I love that Tina told Bette what happened right away and didn’t let her fear get in the way of keeping Bette informed of Helena’s actions.
Whew caught up! I think the best way for Bette to surpass all her pain is to confront Helena once and for all without fear and put her in her place
Hey GrindRight, So let me get this straight , Helena didn’t know how to satisfy Bette and as a result she lost her .When she realizes Bette is finding happiness with Tina she wishes to destroy their relationship.I guess it’s true you can’t make anyone else happy if you are not happy with yourself. I absolutely loved the bed scene. Yeah it can be sexy and gratifying simply being close to someone you care for without going all the way.
You are spoiling me with two posts today. I have to tell you that this story has me checking this site two and three times a day which is something I haven’t done in a long time. I love that TIna didn’t back down from Helena and that she was honest with Bette about what took place in her office. Tina knows that no relationship of any kind can exist without trust. If you’re up for another post tonight, I’ll be up for about another hour. Lol! PPS.

I must say that I’m enjoying this journey you are taking us on. I knew that Helena wouldn’t take her leave so easily. Sigh.On a positive note, I totally melted over the pyjama-reading in bed-cuddle time scene. Can they *be* any cuter?!
I knew Helena wouldn’t take it lying down. She sees Bette as her property that she has been able to control for so long. As she can’t stand that Bette will be truly happy with Tina. Info wonder if Helena will play this wicked game until everything falls apart including get own self worth that barely exists.
Just amazing how their relationship is getting stronger and stronger. Tina needs to show Helena a thing or two. We need to see Alpha Bette! :)
hope alpha bette makes an appearance and gives Helena a slap or a punch.
I love the intamacy of your stories, its what draws me to your stories. Okay the hot sex does as well but the intimacy is what makes me smile.
