    The Roommates – 2nd Dimension: Chapter 65

    Previously~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tina looked around her room at the boxes and the disarray and sighed. She would miss this space. A longing tried to rise up within her, but she forced it away and placed another set of books in one of the brown boxes. Her phone vibrated on her desk and she ran to pick it up.

It was another call from Eric.

She hit the “ignore” button and shook her head.

“Why is he still calling me? I have nothing to say to him,” she said aloud.

Her mind flashed to their breakup and her pregnancy scare from the fall. Her heart hardened. She’d given him her body as a sacrifice for heterosexuality and it had failed. At the back of her mind, she also held that against him.

She was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn’t hear Bette turn the lock and just as the door opened she threw another book into the box and said. “He’s such an asshole. I wish he’d just stop calling me.”

Bette looked up and said, “T? Wish who would stop calling?”

    The Roommates – 2nd Dimension: Chapter 65

Tina smiled nervously before running her left hand through her blonde locks.

“Oh, hey, I didn’t realize you were there,” she said.

Bette’s look did not change. It was a mixture of curiosity and mild irritation. “T, don’t get all weird on me. Who are you talking about? Is someone bothering you?” she asked.

When she saw the worry in Tina’s eyes and heard the frustration in her voice, Bette had gotten concerned. Her questions were driven by a protectiveness for the woman she loved.

Tina took a deep breath and sat back on her knees. “It’s Eric,” she replied

It was on the tip of Bette’s tongue to ask who Eric was when that name finally wormed its way into the memory file of her cerebral cortex. Her eyes opened wide in recognition and she responded with a small, “Oh. Eric.”

Tina chewed nervously on her lip, her eyes drawn to the new crease in her girlfriend’s forehead. She watched as Bette turned and locked the door behind her. The bronzed freshman pulled her curly locks behind her hair as she avoided eye contact with Tina and headed to her side of the room.

    1. I think Tina needs to see what Eric wants and tell him there is no way they will ever be together again and that she has found someone else if that is what he wants. I think they will get through the summer just fine as long as they talk often and maybe visit a couple of times.

    2. Hey what a pleasant surprise this morning. Great chapter it feels like we’re launching off the dock and the boat is just pushing off with no return in sight. Things will be different but the questions is will the differences be for the good or bad. Thanks MTS you weave a great story.

    3. Excellent chapter. Bette needs this time to bond with her mom, while missing her from her life for so long. Tina will have the support of Dana & Alice to go through the Summer and hope Eric stops intruding in T’s life. PPS Lucero & Marsha

    4. Yeah, why is Eric calling? I’m stumped??? So 3 months can be a long time, especially when Bette is hanging w/ the art crowd in NY. So are we going to speed through those 3 months or see it all play out? I’m intrigued; PPS!
