    B&T Beginning Set on College Campus.
    Bette’s look did not change. It was a mixture of curiosity and mild irritation. “T, don’t get all weird on me. Who are you talking about? Is someone bothering you?” she asked.

    Tina understood her lover’s body language. Bette was threatened and curious, but her pride wouldn’t allow her to show her vulnerability. And so, though questions regarding Eric’s phone call rushed around in her mind, Bette was tight lipped, her brow furrowed. The tall bronzed woman sat down on her bed, dropping her backpack on the ground.

    The young blonde sighed and licked her lips. “I don’t know why he’s calling, Bette. He’s been calling me for the last couple of days.”

    Bette finally looked up. “And you haven’t answered any of his calls?”

    Tina shook her head in response. “I haven’t. I just….I just didn’t want to deal with it.”

    “Do you, umm……do you hear from him often?”

    Tina’s soft eyes met her lover’s concerned brown pools and without breaking eye contact, she got up from the carpet and stood before Bette. She slipped her right hand under her girlfriend’s chin and held their gaze firmly. “Babe, you don’t have to be afraid to talk to me about this. Please don’t act so weird about him. And to answer your question, no. I haven’t heard from him since the fall. He doesn’t even know – – -,”she began, her words trailing off.

    Tina’s right hand fell back to her side and she sat down next to Bette.

    “He doesn’t know what?” asked Bette.

    The blonde sighed and whispered. “He doesn’t even know that I thought I was pregnant.”

    Bette placed her hand over her girlfriend’s, her thumb rubbing gently against the soft tanned skin. “He doesn’t’?”

    “No. I never told him. I couldn’t even think back then. All I could seem to think about was losing you.”

    “Oh, T. All I could think about was losing you.”

    Again they were silent.

    “Did he leave a voicemail?” asked Bette.

    Tina shrugged. “I don’t know.”

    Bette swallowed thickly. “Maybe you should check.”

    “Maybe I should. But not now. Right now, I just want to sit here and be close to you.”

    Bette nodded. “Come here, T.”

    Tina moved into her girlfriend’s arms and they lay back together on the bed.

    “Bette, I can’t believe we’re leaving so soon. Feels like we just got here.”

    5. I would love to know the answers to those questions myself. It would be nice if the girls could go to New York or Bette come and visit the girls for a couple of weeks or so.

    7. I think Tina needs to see what Eric wants and tell him there is no way they will ever be together again and that she has found someone else if that is what he wants. I think they will get through the summer just fine as long as they talk often and maybe visit a couple of times.

    8. Hey what a pleasant surprise this morning. Great chapter it feels like we’re launching off the dock and the boat is just pushing off with no return in sight. Things will be different but the questions is will the differences be for the good or bad. Thanks MTS you weave a great story.

    10. Excellent chapter. Bette needs this time to bond with her mom, while missing her from her life for so long. Tina will have the support of Dana & Alice to go through the Summer and hope Eric stops intruding in T’s life. PPS Lucero & Marsha

    11. Yeah, why is Eric calling? I’m stumped??? So 3 months can be a long time, especially when Bette is hanging w/ the art crowd in NY. So are we going to speed through those 3 months or see it all play out? I’m intrigued; PPS!
