    Bette & Tina…Tears at LAX
    (A B&T Beginning Set on a College Campus)

    Bette felt the tears try and start up again as she willed them away. Can I have my glasses back?, she asked.

    Tina handed them over and Bette slid them back on her face. She reached down for Tinas hand and the two made their way to Bettes vehicle and got on the freeway, headed for home.

    They exchanged small talk along the way. Neither really wanting to delve into the meat of their weekend during the car ride. Bette knew she would have to tell Tina about what had happened with Sidney. She just didnt know how to tell her about last nights Freudian slip. How was she supposed to explain that shed yelled Tinas name while in the throes of passion? That wasnt a light conversation to have.

    Tina had so much to share with Bette. She wanted to discuss her non-pregnancy but she also wanted to discuss them. Bette & Tina. She really wanted there to be a them and her aim was to convince Bette that the beautiful mocha beauty was being untrue to herself and her heart. Tina wanted to find the right words to convey her feelings for Bette and make sure there were no misunderstandings between them. Tina wanted Bette and she wasnt going to stop fighting for her until they were together.

    The dynamic duo finally made it back to their room and Bette called Papa Johns to place their order. Tina opened her suitcase and started to unpack.

    T, I feel so spent and grimy. Im going to go and take a shower. Im going to put out some money for the pizza and Ill be back soon.

    Tina looked up at the dark circles under Bettes eyes and her stomach did a flip. What has happened to leave her looking so devastated?, she thought.

    Okay. Ill be here unpacking. Take your time., said Tina.

    Bette gathered her things and walked across the room. Tina followed her every step with her brown eyes, noting the defeat in her stature, the sadness in her step. She hated to see the love of her life in such a state. As Bette reached for the door *****, Tina said Bette?.

    A pair of chocolate brown eyes turned toward Tina. Yes?, said Bette. She was struggling to keep her composure and to keep the emotion out of her voice.
