    The Roommates: Chapter 32

    Previously~~~~~~~~~~

    Tina stopped moving and met Bettes eyes before looking up at the pictures she hadnt even noticed. Theyd been there for so long, they were practically invisible to her. Tina grabbed her bag and walked back over to Bette, bending down and caressing a smooth caramel cheek. Bette, I had forgotten they were there. Ill take them down. I love you, okay?

    Bette smiled. I love you too. Have a great day, Tina. Ill see you later.

    Tina kissed her gently before standing to leave. You too. Ill see you later. Tina walked to the door, stepping around the balloons, and gave Bette one last look before shutting the door behind her.

    Bette heard the lock click in place and lay there a few more moments before sitting up to start her. She sighed deeply and ran a hand through her unruly locks, the comforter still wrapped around her.

    Let me check my email before I get in the shower, she thought, moving to her desk. Her laptop clicked out of hibernation mode as she clicked on the Microsoft Outlook icon and saw that she had 10 unread messages. Her eyes were drawn to the new message from Sidney Davis and she sighed heavily, deciding whether or not to read it before getting ready for her 10am class.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Bette chewed her lip nervously, her finger hovering over the left-hand button of her mouse. As she sat there, mired in indecisiveness, a new thought entered her mind. My personal life has taken way too much precedence over my academics. What if I read this and I fall apart again? I have to get to class. The very last thing I need is for my grades to drop and have to hear a lecture from Daddy. Ill deal with this later. Bette gathered her things and headed for the showers.
    After showering, Bette stood in front of the mirror, brushing her teeth. Shed been through this routine before; making love with Tina, showering, and then brushing her teeth in front of this mirror. The difference was that last time, Bette could barely look herself in the eye. Shed been filled with self-loathing, feeling as though shed betrayed Sidney, believing that she was turning into her mother. On that difficult Friday morning, Bette had walked slowly back to her room and broken Tinas heart. Today, she walked back to her room feeling better than she had in a long time. Today, Bette Porter was a different woman. She was Tinas woman. Her new identity filled her with a sense of inner peace, calmness, and pride.
    1. i wish sidney would take a one-way trip to ByeByeLand. It’s a land very far away from Tina-and-Bette=Perfect Land. I like that idea. yes indeed. oh and the scene where Tina sits on Bette’s face about 2 chapters back was so hot my PC’s a little charred. It survived though. I don’t know if I fared so well, because that was HOT!!! I second Gia’s previous suggestion..sounds like a wonderful idea.
    2. NOOOOOOOOOOOO…she’s gonna go see that SKANK?!! Ugh!! Bette has Tina…what more could she ask for?! Tina’s DA BOMB (whoa, haven’t heard that in a while…lol)…Bette needs to just completely severe her ties with Ms. Sidney SLUTYHO!!:-D
      By the way, thanks for the shout out, I feel so special. You’re welcome by the way, I meant what a said, you’re a natural born writer…you’re awesome at it…believe me, your story has pulled me away from more than one major assignment:-) It’s that good, anyhoos, this comment is long enough don’t you think? ‘Til next time…keep up the good work and thanks again!! Aloha
    3. Wow, harsh comments this time. I think you hit it right on. Everything in college is so DRAMATIC and MEANINGFUL, all at a time when these young adults are trying to figure themselves out. Of course Bette needs to talk to Sidney. Maybe this will be their first lesson in failed love, but a successful friendship. They’re probably going to be art history majors and have zillions of classes together, so they should find a way to make peace. BTW, Sidney’s communications were so heartfelt. Great job!! As usual, just have to tell you I’m loving this story. Thank you.
    4. I don’t know about the rest of ya’ll but when I had my first lesbian big college love we just skipped class and stayed in bed. Going to class is how you get in trouble!! Love the story especially when I get 3 posts in 1 day. Write on my talented friend.
    5. Well Bette talking to Sidney can be a good or bad thing. Tina could find out what Bette is up to or they can get into another fight. But I understand where Bette is coming from she doesn’t to have a grudge with anyone and I understand that completely.
    6. Nooooo ~ ‘just say no’ Bette! I’m fighting against the meds to stay awake now, MTS…will check often for a possible early am post since I’m still on my 2 hr AR high :) Oh the drama you put us fans thru…but we love it!
    7. Friggin A…damn Sidney…I, ughh…yeah…LOL. Can you tell Bette is frustrating me? I love this chapter, but maybe it would be better if Sid and Bette didnt meet in her dorm room…oh i can sense the drama coming…500 STARS!!!
    8. Like I wrote in your previous chapter…I’m losing my touch…you’ve been updating your story at lightening speed…hehe…haven’t read this chapter yet, so I better get a cracking on it:-P…OooOoo, I see Sidney in most of the comments…now I really must read on…be back in a few;-)
