    (B&T beginning set on a college campus)

    Im glad youre here, too. I bet its a nice change from the cold east coast.

    Eric grinned as they drove out the parking structure, heading back towards LA. You better believe it. Its so cold there and its only the beginning. I dont know how I am going to survive. Think you can fly out and help keep me warm?

    If youre a good boy.Ill think about it. Tina smiled and Eric just sat there, taking in her essence. Hed missed Tina terribly and was simply enamored with her presence.

    Babe, you hungry?, asked Tina.

    Eric nodded, he was staring at her intensely. Yeah. I could eat.

    Tina felt his eyes on her and asked, Me or lunch?

    Why cant you be both? They arent necessarily mutually exclusive., he said with a smile.

    So, I see weve shipped you off to Brown and youve come back a funny, funny man.

    No, not a funny, funny man..a horny, horny man. Tina, I am about ready to explode here. You look so beautiful. I cant believe Im finally here.

    Tina smiled and slipped back into her old persona. Eric, thank you. Believe me, I will make sure you are well compensated for the wait you have had to endure. This was no picnic for me either. I have missed you so much. She wasnt completely lying. She had missed him.just not sexually.

    Eric smiled and placed his hand on her thigh. Tina flinched slightly and he found it cute. Dont worry, I can wait a little while longer., he said.

    Thats great news. Heres what I was thinking. Lets head into Westwood. We can grab some lunch and then Ill give you a tour of campus. I also wanted to take you to the Getty Center. Its really beautiful and theres a great view of LA from there. Its really breathtaking.

    That sounds great. I actually am starving.for food. I remember when we came and visited UCLA last year as prospectives, but itll be nice to see it through your eyes. How is everything? How is the film program?

    They spent the rest of the car ride discussing their lives as students, with Tina occasionally pointing out sights of interest to Eric as they rode along. They decided to go for sushi and a little after 2pm, they walked into Tengu, an upscale sushi restaurant that Tina had been to a few times that fall. Tina requested an outside table and before long, they were seated out on the patio. Eric looked around and was very pleased with the chic, Buddhist style dcor of the place. The patio was just perfect and being that they came in on the tail end of the lunch crowd, there were only a few other parties seated outside.

    5. I just started reading The Roommates and this is my favorite chapter yet! I love how conflicted and real Tina & Bette’s situations are.

      “she was a walking, talking potential lesbian time bomb ready to explode” Favorite line ever!!!

    10. Thanks for answering my question, very good logic Dude. I love the different layers you put into your characters, Eric seemed so sweet and the homophobia definately gave him a dark edge. Plus, its cool to see that Tina has a little of her own in a way, or I guess maybe a lot of fear. You are piling on the drama, but you do it so well. Way to go. Great writing, yea you.

    15. I’m kinda glad that Eric is homophobic. Even after all their years together, what they have ment to each other,he just told her that his love is conditional. I will love you only if you fit this mold. Love without acceptance is not an option anyone should settle for. Good job…The hook has been set and you are already reeling me in! Post soon, please!
