Both Kennards were dripping with sweat by the time they arrived back at the start of their run.
They were both bent over, their hands on their knees, breathing heavily, spent yet recharged.
“That was great,” Tina breathed.
Stephen nodded. “I’ve missed runs with you.”
“Can we do this again…tomorrow?”
“Yeah. Every day.”
Tina smiled. “Great. Let’s stretch a little before we lock up.”
As they stretched and pulled their muscles, Stephen asked, “Are you really enjoying school?”
Tina smiled again. “Yes, I am. I love it there. I really do.”
“Glad to hear it. And you’re really getting along with your roommate. I’m glad that worked out for you. Having a roommate can always be a gamble.”
Tina focused her attention on the right foot extended out before her. “Yeah, I lucked up. Bette’s great.”
“We’ll have to have her come and visit you. I’m sure you’d like that. Maybe if your mom spent some time with her, she wouldn’t be so edgy. Bette sounds like a wonderful young lady.”
“She is. And I have a lot of other friends. We all get together and hang out. It’s like my family away from home. I guess I’ve had a little trouble adjusting. But I think I’ll be okay.”
Stephen smiled. “Welcome home, kiddo.”
“I’m glad to be home, Dad,” Tina replied with a smile.
After a few more stretches, they headed inside. Stephen bounced upstairs to shower and Tina found her mother in the kitchen, sipping tea and reading a magazine.
“Hey, Mom,” said Tina.
Tracy looked up from her seat at their granite-topped island. “Hey there. Did you have a good run?”
“I did. It was great. I forgot how much I missed running with Dad.”
Tracy smiled. “Yeah. He keeps trying to get me out there to keep him company. But I’d just embarrass both of us. You’ve got a runner’s body though, built like your father. Do you miss track?”
Tina shrugged. “Kind of. But I try to run here and there. It’s just not the same.”
Tracy’s smile faded. “As time passes, most things usually aren’t.”
Tina swallowed thickly, guilty about her recent interactions with her mother. “I uh…I looked for my skirts and dresses. Couldn’t find any.”

Excellent update, MTS! Valerie was very honest with Bette about what was required to run a Art Museum and/or Gallery. That experience will always stay with her. A demanding and difficult person, can be the best teacher one can have in order to become more professional. We are glad that Tina could come to terms with her family. However, we doubt that their parents have grown enough to accept and understand T’s sexuality. Tina has always been too scared to tell their parents, because of old prejudices running at home. Hey MTS, I jumped into the first chapter of Pride & Prejudice and realized it was a continuation of Roommates and Roommates 2, so I went back and read all of the previous stories and am now caught up. I really like this series of stories and am looking forward to your upcoming posts. jinjur
The “Prima Donna” is gonna run Bette around in circles. I can’t wait to read about their adventures in interning. But most of all I can’t wait until Bette goes to visit Tina. :)
I hope that Bette survives the Met and that Tina survives the summer without her love. I am not a drama person so I hope that the summer is pretty painless.
Thanks for posting. I really thought Tina’s parents were going to figure out what was going with her and Bette. Loving the internships and where you are headed with setting up the next part of the story.
Good to see that Tina chilled abit and gave her parents (and herself) to enjoy her homecoming. So I’m guessing this art lady will be the model for the power lesbian that Ms. Porter will one day become. Thanks for another great update MTS. Keep the post coming….How long before Bette and Tina are in the same time zone again?

HEY MTS, Sweet to see Tina reconnect with her parents agaion. I think she needs to tell them the truth and unburdon herself. They love her and I am sure it will be a shock to them initially, Tina is still their child and they will do all htat they can to protect and love her. Seeing the difference that Bette has made it her life can only convince them of the love between these gals. How it has completed them. As for Bette, she has a tough challenge in working with the crazy prima donna fro the Met. I do think this will be the making of her professionally. It is strange to think of Bette as anything other than “astounding”. Okay a little polish might be needed to reveal her sparkle and cute to have Bette and her Mom bonding over the femimine pursuits of shopping and pampering. The best bit was Bette and Tina’s phoen conversation which only increased their need to be in each other’s arms once more and enjoy the physicality of their realtionship. Can’t wait for theor reunion. It will be so adorable and sexy. Please continue this awesoem adventure soon. Many, many thanks fro all that you write and share. Your Loyal Fan. XOXO
they r so sweet; but what trouble is Al gonna cause? Is she gonna date Eric? thereby letting him in on T’s secret life then he’ll spring her to her parents so ruining T’s chance of an education when her parents cut her off??? Damn it Alice, get a brain not stoned!!! pps
nice to tina reconneting with mom and dad but she needs to talk to them about bette. i have this feeling that eric knows about bette and is gonna rat tina out to her parents!! thanks for the update :)
MTS, the prima donna Bette is about to be born!! Can’t wait to see how she blossoms in her job at The Met. I’m also on pins waiting for her reunion with Tina! PPS
