David picked up Janice’s hand and kissed the back of it softly. “It feels so good to be home, Jan.”
“Bette?” asked Tina, her voice filled with incredulity.
At first, the dark-haired woman could not speak. The sound of her lover’s soft voice had frozen her vocal chords and sent a rush of emotion sweeping through her Tina-craving veins. She closed her watery eyes, savoring the soothing resonance of her name on her girlfriend’s lips and simply murmured, “Mmhmmm”; and nodded her head.
Tina was no better off. She’d been walking around the apartment, talking to herself about the “Eric in the building” situation when the sound of Alicia Keys’ “Fallin’” began to sound from her bedroom. Tina nearly tripped over her socked feet as she raced toward the sultry, soulful voice singing the a cappella intro of the song.
That was Bette’s ring. Elizabeth Porter was the only one Tina was falling for and the young coed wanted that thought to grace the announcement of Bette’s presence on the phone. She was nearly breathless when she finally answered the call, and her eyes were wide with excitement as her eager ears awaited the sound of her lover’s voice.
When all she got was an “Mmhmmm”, she began to worry.
Tina slipped down on her freshly made bed, her heart beginning to pound in nervous anticipation. “Bette, is everything okay?”
2500 miles away, on the 22nd floor of an apartment building on the West Side of Manhattan, warm tears slid from beneath the closed lids of Bette Porter. “I’m okay,” she whispered, her voice betraying the strength she wanting to convey.
“You sound upset,” said Tina, her eyes flitting nervously around her tidy room.
Bette’s voice was small and sweet as it traveled the distance from her painted lips to her girlfriend’s waiting ears. “I just…I miss you so much. It’s….it’s overwhelming.”
“I miss you, too.”
“I don’t mean to cry. I just…it hit me so hard. This past few weeks have gone so fast and I’ve been so busy but just now….it really hit me. I haven’t seen you in so long. I need to see you, T. You’re so much a part of me. I don’t even get to talk to you.”

their phone call was so cute (for lack of the right word), so full of longing and emotions…maybe you should skip ahead 2 weeks and let them see each other already
couldn’t agree more bntforever! i so miss this story between your posts but at least you do nice long chapters – kinda makes up for it, loved the phonecall between the two you can just feel how much they’re missing each other. pps and get bette on that plane sooner!!

OMG I LOVE THIS STORY!!! So sweet and loving!! So full of emotion. I can’t wait until they are face to face, but then again I LOVED the phone call.. on third thought I’m sure there is a flight leaving sooner than 2 weeks!! PPS

This chapter is the first one I read of this story, and now I am asking myself why didn’t I read it any sooner?? it’s amazing, these emotions that you project are breath taking, wow, I really can’t wait to read the next one. Great job M.T.S.
I’m glad they reconnected. Wonderful chapter! I like their phone convo. I was LOL at Bette’s hints of phone sex and Tina shutting her down. You’ve shown so well the dynamics of their relationship. This is such a sweet chapter. PPS!!!

I sure hope that they will survive. They belong together. I also hope that at some point Tina will not have to worry about others finding out about her love for Bette.

Dearest MTS, if there was one word to describe this update of yours, we would say: “enchanting”. The interaction between Bette and her mom, plus David, was a relief. It seems Bette is finally accepting him as her mom’s partner. B&T’s phone conversation was endearing. The intensity of their feelings just jump at your face and you can’t help but smile wide and give a deep sigh of contentment. This update was amazing MTS! We loved it! As for Eric, Jeeezz! Could you keep him in check, so as not to bother T, while Bette is not near? We would hate that he feels entitled to go and see his ex g/f and invite her to dinner, for good old times sake, because, as far as we can see, he would like to ask T to be with him again. Plus, while Tina does not acknowledge her relationship with Bette, Eric will not give up. Hmmm Interesting turn of events. Thanks for sharing this fantastic story with us. HEY MTS, And that is exactly what I am “more than safitised” with this latest adventure in the lives of Baby B and T. Good to know that Bette is begginning to open up to her mom and step-father. The little hug for David was such a sweet sign that Bette is slowly letting her guard down. Yes, this is mainly due to Tina’s influence on her life. And Tina, was shocked and stunned to catch up with Eric once more. There was a lot of hurt there from the past and her fears over being outed are real if a little exaggerated. Tina needs to sort things out with Eric. OK, it seems like Eric is ready to try again and Tina needs to set him straight on her lack of availability. Good to have Tina trust Bette with her encounter with Eric. It is this level of openness between these gals that will see them through the toughest of times. Communication is key particularly when they are 3000 miles apart. There was geniune love and understanding throughout their phone call as they both managed to update each other on the recent events that surround them. Wonderful to read that Bette is planning a visit; Tina get here ASAP was adorable. I do hope that Bette can make the journey sooner rather than later. Tina was so precious in protecting her lover and know that she wasn’t taking care of herself. The whole go get washed and fed and i’ll be here waiting for you was so sentimental. The their final phone call was awesome. Typical of Bette, the hound dog, to want some phone sex and Tina to offer love and comfort in its place. These gals need to be the in the same time zone to truely in their carnal exploits. I can wait. MTS, you just wirte it as it is and as it should be. Thank you so much for sharing this terrific tale. Wow, two posts in one month. Awesome! Now this is the Baby Bette and Tiny Tina that I know and have come to love. When they are cocooned in their room, in their own little world, one can really sense the intensity, depth and purity of their love for one another. It’s when they step out into the world as individuals that doubt and trials start creeping in. But it’s also impossible for them to be together all the time. I really hope their love will see them through. But again, they have a long way to go. They’re still months away from their sophomore year! Oh dear. Thank you, thank you MTS for a this sweet, enjoyable chapter! Pls post again whenever you can! :>
