Well Im going home to change and maybe I could pick you up at your house, rather than we go in separate cars. You know we can talk a little. Because I doubt we would have much talk time at the game. Bette wanted to spend time with Tina but her suggestion was more of fear that if Tina got home she would have had time to change her mind and may just stand Bette up and never show for the game.

Yes may I help you? Tinas mother asked looking through the screen door.

As the women walked towards Bettes car Bette remarked, Your mom seems nice.

Yeah, she is. Tina said smiling. She thinks she is everyones mother. Just wait till you visit again, shell start calling you sweetie and pumpkin.

The drive to Shanes high school was relatively quiet, except for the occasional remark about what they pass by as Bette drove. Both women were lost ion their own thoughts. Although in two completely different places they would always end up thinking the same thing. Its amazing how things turn out in life. I mean a few weeks ago there was so much tension between us and now I am actually thinking about going out with her, on a date. I would love for this to work out. They both looked at each other and smiled. They arrived to their destination within minutes and as they walked down the school hall they could hear the cheers coming from the gym.
