    Shane: That’s good to hear. Dana: What, that she’s drugged up? Shane that’s not nice. Even though she knew Shane didn’t know about Alice’s past, she still didn’t think what Shane had said was a good thing. Although, she didn’t realise that she had completely misinterpreted what Shane said. Shane: No, that’s she’s feeling better.

    Shane: That’s good to hear.

    Dana: What, that she’s drugged up? Shane that’s not nice.

    Even though she knew Shane didn’t know about Alice’s past, she still didn’t think what Shane had said was a good thing. Although, she didn’t realise that she had completely misinterpreted what Shane said.

    Shane: No, that’s she’s feeling better.

    Dana: Oh, right. Yeah, I knew that.

    Shane: Alright. So, what do we need for her?

    Dana: Erm, clothes, pyjamas, toothbrush and toothpaste, and her slippers.

    Shane: Which ones?

    Dana: The bunny ones. She specifically said to get the bunny ones.

    Shane: Wait, why do you need toothpaste, couldn’t you just share a tube?

    Dana: Nope, she wants hers. She said it tastes different to mine.

    Shane: But aren’t they exactly the same.

    Dana: Yep, but she wants hers.

    Shane: She never seizes to amaze me.

    They chuckled and sat in silence for the rest of the car journey. It was a comfortable silence, both lost in their thoughts.

    Meanwhile at the hospital…

    Alice had fallen asleep when Dana left, but she was brought out of her nap when she heard a somewhat familiar voice calling her name. She stirred a little, before sitting up slightly in her bed and looking towards the door. It wasn’t her girlfriend, but she was happy to see the visitor. The visitor came beside Alice and sat in the chair, on the right side of Alice. Just as he sat down, Alice made him stand up.

    Alice: No, you can’t sit there.

    Aidan: I can’t?

    Alice: No, that’s Dana’s chair.

    Aidan: Oh.

    Aidan stood up and walked to the other side of Alice. He looked at her strangely before sitting down in the chair. Alice hadn’t noticed the look. Aidan decided he wanted to find out about Alice and Dana. Not for Lara, but for himself.

    Alice: What are you doing here?

    Aidan: Just thought I’d visit. I was passing and I saw Shane and Dana leave in the car, so I thought you’d be in here. What happened?

    Alice: The feeling might be coming back in my legs. I’m not sure. I mean, I felt the pain, but I still can’t move them.

    Aidan: Well, you do still have some giant casts on them. How are you and Dana?
