Dana: Honestly? I don’t know. It just kind of crept up on me and I suddenly began to realise a lot of things.

Alice: Like what?

Dana: Like how I love the way you don’t care about my flaws. You don’t care about whether I’m a professional tennis player or not. How you know what I’m thinking just from my facial expression. And I love everything about you. I love the way your hair looks in the morning. I love the way you hate you glasses when you look incredible in them. I love the way you are, and that’s all I’ve ever wanted in a girlfriend. Look, when Lara and I first broke up, Shane asked me what I’d basically look for in a woman, like what’s my type. After id done describing the perfect woman, Shane said ‘so someone like Alice’ and I thought about it. I basically described you, Al. you are the perfect woman. Believe me when I say I’m not leaving you. I’d be stupid to walk away from my dream.

Alice: I believe you. Dana, last night you said something, did you mean that?

Dana: I did? What did I say?

Alice: Well, it’s nothing major, but you called me baby. Did you mean to say that?

Dr. Edwards: Okay, I know you two never heard me come in, and I hate to break up such a cute moment, but I’m here with news.

Alice: News?

Dana: Good or bad?

Dr. Edwards: Good. We know Alice’s legs are healing, and you will feel the pain, but you can go home within the hour. As Alice is regaining feeling, there’s nothing much we can do. We will provide plenty of pain medication as it will be uncomfortable. If there are any problems, don’t hesitate to call me, or come straight here. I’ll be back in a few minutes with a routine I would like you to try while you are at home. The routine will basically be trying to stand up, walk around, move the legs etc. It will require one or more extra people for support, so I assume Dana will be helping. If Dana is strong enough, she should be fine to hold your weight.
