    Who is this woman?

    I could never get over the first site of the women I have seen that have been beaten so badly, that you couldn’t tell who they were……I walk closer to the bed, taking in every site before me…….stopping short, as not to wake her up….A few minutes pass by as I stare at her….wondering to myself why some people would do such horrible things to others………

    “Who is here?” asked the girl……..scaring the daylights out of me……

    “Um……I am sorry……I………am Bette Porter……the Solicitor’s General. The…um…….I am a victim’s advocate for battered women..” I finally get studdered out……

    “Help me” said the young lady as she tried to sit up……

    “UM…I don’t think you should move very much….” I said as I walked to her bedside and leaned to cover her up a little more……

    “What…..what happened to me?” she asked……….

    “I….Well, I don’t know exactly……all I know is that you were found lying in the street, very much beaten and battered…..”

    “But…….But……..I don’t remember anything….” she said through tears

    “I know…….the newspaper printed an article, with your picture, hoping that someone would come forward to provide us with some information as to your identity. Do you remember anything at all?” I asked….

    The woman bit her bottom lip, “No….No I don’t….”

    I walked closer to her and leaned down beside the bed…… “Well, I am going to help you remember, and we are going to find the ones responsible for this, and make sure they pay for what has been done to you.”

    “Are you an angel?” the woman asked as she tried to smile, but it hurt to much……..

    “Um, well I have been called a lot worse….” I said smiling down at her……. “But, I think I like angel the best!!!”

    “How long have I been here?”

    “2 days now……” I say pulling the chair closer to the bed, and taking a seat…..

    “Wow….and noone has come forward to give a name. That makes me feel better. Noone knows me…..or hell, seems as though noone wants to remember me…..”

    “I would remember you…..” I said as I reached out and touched her hand…….

    “Great to know someone cares…..”

    “I have to get to the office, and start on this case. I want to get the ones that did this, and put them away…..”

    9. I like it alot…okay question…is this REALLY Tina’s family? Or are they back to finish the job? They might have thought they killed her. Why did it take them so long to come forward? Why wasn’t she reported missing? I am just suspicious like that….lol. Please continue.
