    “Tina?…Tina?…Are you there?” Harry’s voice can be heard from the phone that’s lying in her lap..She quickly shakes her head gathering herself and grabs the phone putting it back to her ear “Uh..Yes…I’m here” She says in a calm voice surprising herself “I’m sure this changes your mind about taking the role now” “No..I want

    “Tina?…Tina?…Are you there?” Harry’s voice can be heard from the phone that’s lying in her lap..She quickly shakes her head gathering herself and grabs the phone putting it back to her ear

    “Uh..Yes…I’m here” She says in a calm voice surprising herself

    “I’m sure this changes your mind about taking the role now”

    “No..I want the role Harry….“She says steeling herself.  Showing no hesitation and masking the false confidence she is portraying.  She’s an actress after all.

    However Harry saw right through it

    “Tina…I know you…This can’t be a good situation and I know Sid Pollack is not going to put up with distractions on his set.  Especially after what hap—” he stressed but Tina cuts him off

    “Harry..Just send me the contract.  I’m signing on..I’m not going to give Bette Porter  the satisfaction of chasing me off…I wouldn’t be surprised if she took the role just because she heard I was offered the other leading role.”

    “Actually…From what I understand from  Parker at Freeport Productions, Bette had originally turned them down when she heard you were offered the other role”

    “What?” Tina said shocked at what she just heard

    “Yeah…Parker said she wanted nothing to do with it if you were involved”

    Tina didn’t know whether that hurt her to hear or gave her relief..Confliction set in at that moment

    “Uhm..What made her change her mind?..I mean I just decided now to take the role..I easily could have passed on it and took the role of Jade for the other..It’s going to be a blockbuster but I want to do something different than the action/adventure roles I have done..Plus I’m a lesbian, I am out and proud…I want to embrace that in film starting with this role”

    “I understand that but I can’t answer the why…I am not sure why she changed her mind…All I know is she signed on today.   So what do you want to do”

    “I’m signing on Harry”

    Harry sighs “Ok Tina…I’ll have the contract sent over and I will make arrangements to have you moved out here to L.A….”

    “Good…Thanks Harry”

    “Of course” he replies but sighs before continuing “Look…I know how much she hurt you..I was there remember…Just…I want you to be sure you can handle this..You will have to be intimate with her in this film”
