Both Bette and Helena looked at each other and then Alice. “WHAT”? Helena could feel the frustration coming from Bette’s body as well as hear it in her voice.

“Hey I’m not the only one who thinks that.” said Alice as she took another sip of her drink.

“You know Alice I disagree.” said Jenny.

“Really” was heard all around the table.

“Yes really. I know guys think I’m nuts and maybe you have good reason to believe that. But come on Alice the things that you said that would keep them apart would also be the same things that would bring them together. It’s the similarities that may standout but it‘s the differences that may make it work. Yes they can be bossy but they wouldn’t be able to be bossy with one another, because they wouldn’t allow it, so they would have to compromise. And yes Bette is a workaholic, but by both of the them sharing a love of the arts it would be easier for her to slack off a bit. Because she would have some one to share it with. And Helena is indeed a runner when it comes to things that get to her, but she would have a partner who wouldn’t let her run too far before coming after her. And as for being bad girls they both would know what they’re getting into, so it would be no need to change each other. Their eyes would be open. So yes I could see them making it. Sometimes you need to forget the bullshit and just be happy. And I think they would.”

“So if that was the case why did Tina and Bette last for so long?” Shane ask.

“It’s quite simple they ran their course. Tina is what Bette needed in her life to be able to let go. And Bette was the anchor that Tina needed before she was strong enough to go it alone. To be the person she is today.”
