Tina: “Maybe I’ll read it later right now I just want to savor this moment.”
Bette: “It will be here any time you want to read it. Thanks T for being so patient and understanding. Thank you for listening to me and letting me back in your life.”
Tina: “It’s your life too, and now it’s our life again.”
They curled up together on the sofa and held each other, just relaxing and watching the rest of Oprah.
To Live Again, To Love Again Chapter 17
They woke up when the phone rang. It was Kit checking on Bette. Bette assured her she was fine and that Tina was taking very good care of her.
Tina went to put the lasagna in the oven
Bette: “Do you think I could take a shower? Did the doctor say it was ok?”
Tina: “Sure babe, we just have to make sure we dry your wounds good after. Do you need any help?”
Bette: “Uh.I would love to have your help in the shower but.I don’t think that would be a great idea.”
Tina: “Well I’m just trying to help.” She laughed
Bette: “I know and believe me its not that I don’t want your help”
Tina: “Go get in the shower if you need me let me know. I’ll be right out here finishing dinner.”
Bette came up to her and kissed her cheek.
Bette: “I can’t wait to get in the shower with you. I love how the water cascades down your bodyhow the wetness is dripping.”
Tina pushed her playfully away.
Tina: “See I knew the old Bette was in there some where.”
Bette laughed and went to the shower.
Bette came out wrapped in a towel.
Bette: “T I need you to wrap up my leg and arm, before I get dressed.”
Tina turned to see Bette standing there with wet hair and in a towel.
Tina: “JesusBette..you are still the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen. You take my breath away.”
Bette: “No you are the most beautiful woman in the world inside and most definitely out.”
Tina followed Bette to the bedroom. She took her time and dressed Bette’s leg and arm.

Goldfish, it is lovely seeing them back together and taking the time to just be with each other again and being able to talk and be open and honest about feelings and circumstances. Just keep Claire in line when she visits so that Tina will not be jealous nor have a reason to be. Thanks.

Goldfish, thanks for another sweet chapter with more open hearted, honest conversation and reconnection. I think that Claire still loves Bette and even though she knows that Tina is Bette’s dream and future, sometimes, you just can’t control your feelings. I’m sensing some drama coming with the impending visit to California….from Paris with Love. Hopefully, Claire will be drawn to Sawyer (as Bette’s protégé and Bette herself has said that she is so much like her) after she realizes that she really cannot and will not come between Bette and Tina. She loves Bette so much she just wants her to be happy. Please post soon.
Awwwwww, that was too sweet, made me feel warm and fuzzy all over. So glad there talking. I think Clair will we fine, the others may have a plan hook her up with Sawyer. I know B&T have some catching up to do, but a little lovin wouldn’t have hurt, would it. Awesome as usual.

Gold…sweet chapter. I’m glad Sawyer is now part of the family. She’ll fit in well. It’s great to see Tina & Bette talking…really listening and opening up. I think Bette’s wrong..Claire loves Bette more than a friend. We’ll find out. Thanks for the update, Gold.
I’m glad Tina addressed her fears about Claire. Hopefully they can keep up the open and honest line of communication. Sawyer’s really great. B&T are lucky to have her on their side.

I dont believe that Clair will be a problen. Tina might not understand some thing. The one thing she will always know is she is Bettes heart and soul,without her Bette is nothing. Thanks
