    Five years after the fall of B&T

    Tina turned to Bette and looked in her eyes then.

    Tina:  “Bette I want you to know I never stopped loving you.  Never.  I hated what you did to us, but I always loved you.”

    Bette:  “Ah T, me too.  I never stopped loving you.  Not for a minute, and knowing you were still the love in my life, the love I needed to live is what kept me going.  It kept me going to the therapist to heal myself.  It kept me going so that I could find you again.”

    Tina:  “Baby I love you. Forever I’ll love you”

    Bette:  “I love you too, today and always.”

     

    They wrapped themselves around each other and fell asleep. Each dreaming of the future, the life they could start over and the love that had never left them.


     

     

    To Live Again, To Love Again                                          Chapter 18

     

     

    Bette woke up and realized Tina was still sleeping she turned so she could watch her.  She took in the beauty of this woman lying in her bed.  So many times in the last five years she had dreamed of waking up this way, dreamed of being this close to her again.

     

    Tina felt someone starring at her.  She woke to find Bette watching her.  She smiled and Bette reached down and touched her face gently.

     

    Tina:  “Good morning, what are you doing?”

    Bette:  “I’m silently thanking god for you being here.”

    Tina:  “You’re so sweetand before coffee.  What happened to the “don’t speak to me before coffee” grouch I used to wake up with?”

    Bette laughed at her and kissed her cheek.

     

    Bette:  “Well I still need my coffee, but I’ve discovered waking up with you next to me is better than any jolt of caffeine, it definitely jump starts my day.”

    Tina:  “So how do you feel today?”

    Bette:  “Better, much better.  Must be all the TLC I’ve been receiving.”

    Tina:  “Lord Bette are you on a sugar high or what, cause the sweetness dripping from you is almost sickening.  But I like it.”  She reached up and kissed her.

    Bette:  “I’m high on love babe, and you’re the reason.  And I won’t even touch that what’s dripping from me comment.”
