Bette: “Yes, we should, I don’t want to but we should.”
Tina: “Besides I don’t want to hurt youI want you to be able to.enjoy.”
Bette: “Oh god I’d enjoy. I know I’d enjoy.”
Tina laughed and rolled off of Bette. They both sighed and took deep breaths. They lay back on their backs but still holding hands. As they starred at the ceiling they started talking.
Bette: “Can I ask you a question?”
Tina: “Of course, anything.”
Bette: “Well when I mentioned Claire was coming to LA you gave me a look that I couldn’t read. Is something bothering you about her visit.”
Tina: “I do have a question or two about her, yes.”
Bette: “Ok, ask away, no secrets from you any more T, you can ask me anything.”
Tina: “Ok, are you and Claire just friendsor were you lovers also?”
Bette: “Ah, the word you should pay attention to here is “were”. Yes we are dear close friends, but we ended the lover part of our relationship about two weeks before I moved back.”
Tina: “Were you in love with her?”
Bette: “No, I love her as a friend. I told her from the beginning the only woman I could ever love in my heart and soul was you. She accepted that.”
Tina: “Does she love you?”
Bette: “Yes, but I think it’s as friends do. I have explained several times how my life is with you and nothing would ever come of our relationship.”
Tina: “Ok, I just wanted to know what the circumstances were between you. This is so good you being open and honest. I love it. I can ask you anything right?”
Bette: “Yes T anything.”
Tina: “How does it feel to be here with me?”
Bette: “Like heaven. Like my heart is beating again. Like my lungs can expand and breathe with life again. You my sweet angel have given my soul wings again.”
Tina: “God, you take my breath away when you talk like that. You have always been so eloquent and romantic with your words. I love it.”
Bette: “Tell me how you feel with me here.”
Tina: “Words fail me. I know I’m happier than I’ve been in a long time. I know my heart is full, so much so I feel it will burst. I want to shout to the sky and tell everyone how lucky I am that you are back in my life.”
Tina turned to Bette and looked in her eyes then.
Tina: “Bette I want you to know I never stopped loving you. Never. I hated what you did to us, but I always loved you.”
Bette: “Ah T, me too. I never stopped loving you. Not for a minute, and knowing you were still the love in my life, the love I needed to live is what kept me going. It kept me going to the therapist to heal myself. It kept me going so that I could find you again.”
Tina: “Baby I love you. Forever I’ll love you”
Bette: “I love you too, today and always.”
They wrapped themselves around each other and fell asleep. Each dreaming of the future, the life they could start over and the love that had never left them.

Goldfish, it is lovely seeing them back together and taking the time to just be with each other again and being able to talk and be open and honest about feelings and circumstances. Just keep Claire in line when she visits so that Tina will not be jealous nor have a reason to be. Thanks.

Goldfish, thanks for another sweet chapter with more open hearted, honest conversation and reconnection. I think that Claire still loves Bette and even though she knows that Tina is Bette’s dream and future, sometimes, you just can’t control your feelings. I’m sensing some drama coming with the impending visit to California….from Paris with Love. Hopefully, Claire will be drawn to Sawyer (as Bette’s protégé and Bette herself has said that she is so much like her) after she realizes that she really cannot and will not come between Bette and Tina. She loves Bette so much she just wants her to be happy. Please post soon.
Awwwwww, that was too sweet, made me feel warm and fuzzy all over. So glad there talking. I think Clair will we fine, the others may have a plan hook her up with Sawyer. I know B&T have some catching up to do, but a little lovin wouldn’t have hurt, would it. Awesome as usual.

I’m glad Tina addressed her fears about Claire. Hopefully they can keep up the open and honest line of communication. Sawyer’s really great. B&T are lucky to have her on their side.
