Mercedes’ house

Carmen helps her mother to prepare the dinner for her cousin’s engagement party. While she peels the potatoes she is lost in thoughts about what happened last night. She thinks about the way Shane looked at her with her adorable green eyes, which Carmen loved so much. Her perfect body, that she missed. Her voice, her smell, her…

Mercedes: “ Carmen! What are you doing? Hurry up a bit, there are only 2 hours left and we haven’t even finished to peel the potatoes yet!”

Carmen: “Okay, okay mum.”

After 2 hours the dinner was finally ready. The whole family was invited. Everybody was eating and talking. Carmen is exhausted. She excuses herself by telling her relatives that she doesn’t feel good. In reality she had enough of the gossip, so she leaves the house and grabs her cell phone to call Jenny.

Jenny: “Hello?”

Carmen: “Hey Jenny! It’s me, Carmen. I was just wondering if you’re busy. I wanted to come by, so that we could talk a bit.”

Jenny: “Actually, Alice just called me and told me to come by. Would you like to join us?”

Carmen: “I don’t know…Don’t you think that it would bother her if I come to her apartment without warning her at least.”

Jenny: “No, don’t worry. We’re waiting for you, alright?”

Carmen: “Okay, see you later then. Bye.”

Jenny: “Bye, Carmen.”

Alice’s apartment

Jenny and Alice were talking when somebody knocked on the door. Alice looks surprised at Jenny.

Alice: “Did you invite anybody else?”

Jenny: “Yes, shit I forgot. Carmen called me. She wanted to see me. I told her that she could join us.”

Alice: “Oh okay. That’s good, maybe we can find out what happened between Shane and her. I bet 10 bucks that they were fighting.”

Jenny: “Ok. I say that they were fucking.”

They laugh at each other and Alice opens the door. She pulls Carmen into a hug.

Alice: “ Hey, come in! So, what’s up with you, I thought you were having dinner with your family tonight?”

Carmen sighs: “Uh, I succeeded in escaping. They were talking about such boring things, I had to flee, otherwise my head would have exploded!”
