Turn About Is Fair Play – CH55

Tina thought before making her next statement knowing that Nya was right. Youre right, Tina awkwardly admitted. Im not ready for a relationship, but that doesnt mean, I couldnt use a new friend, she shamelessly admitted.

Nya smiled and approached Tina. Seems like youve got plenty of friends and you said that yourself, so whats so great about wanting to add a new one to the list? Nya delicately asked.

Tina wrung her fingers, Nya, I wont lie and say Im not attracted to you, but now that Ive gotten to know a little about you, I feel we have this connection, Tina looked into Nyas eyes for agreement. I mean, we clicked, but not in the typical way people do at clubs and quite frankly, it would be nice to have a friend outside of my immediate circle. One who can be unbiased, or not take sides, a friend who is solely mine. Understand? Tina stood firm on her reasoning.

Nya let the words percolate as studied Tinas face for a moment, mentally savoring the image of Tinas angelic presence. As much as Nya thought it would be easier to walk away and be happy with having met Tina, she couldnt. Nya wasnt a predator, she wasnt into casual liaisons, and it would be out of character for her to be forward, so she went with who she was, kind, simple, caring, and honest.

Okay, Tina you got me, Nya blurted out. I do want to be your friend. I want us to keep in touch regardless of where this leads. Ive been on eggshells with my life for a while now and it would be nice to be on firmer ground and to have someone to talk to or to spend time with, Nya gingerly admitted. I agree with your sentiment about sometimes needing something or someone for yourself outside of your immediate circle, so lets exchange numbers and call it a night. Im sure your friends are ready to call out a search party for you, Nya joked.

When Tina and Nya finally emerged from the VIP room, they said goodbye and parted ways with the promise of a phone call soon. Tina wandered around for about fifteen minutes before running into Shane who was trying to rid herself of her evening companion.
