Turn About Is Fair Play – CH55

Realizing where the conversation was going, Shane eased down into the seat and closed her eyes. She didnt want to participate in the conversation and hoped the sand man would soon find her.

I mean, do you like her as in you have an interest, or do you like her as in a friend only, Dana pressed for details.

I find her attractive and we got to know each other a little, but were not trying to pursue anything, Tinas abated reply caused Dana to rethink her line of questioning.

Snores and heavy breathing concealed the silence between Dana and Tina until Dana prepared for her revelation. Tina, I have to tell you something, Dana spoke up, I invited Bette to the club tonight, Dana quickly shot back before Tina could ask questions.

You did what? Whyd you do that Dana? Tina asked, full of surprise.

Please dont be mad, Dana pleaded. I thought about her while we were at the club and started to miss her. I thought about how easily you took it when Jenny asked about Bette, so I called her and invited her. I used someone elses cell phone and disguised my voice and she had no idea it was me until she got here, Dana explained herself.

But where is she now? Tina wanted to know.

We went looking for everyone and only found Alice and Shane. I convinced her to wait a little longer, but she got a case of nerves and left, Dana paused. Youre not totally mad at me are you? I didnt do it to start trouble, I just felt bad that she was still left out and I know a part of it was her choice, but I missed her Tina, Dana voices cracked.

Tina rubbed Danas free hand and smiled. Its okay, Tina assured. I understand why you did it and its fine. Its a shock, but I have no reason to get mad over it. I did think about her not being here though, Tinas words seem to comfort Dana. Have you spoken to her to make sure she got home okay?

Dana shook her head no. Think I should?

    Yeah, I think so.

Dana pulled reached for her cell and began to dial and as she did Tinas rang.
