Still at Tinas
In spite of the near burning of the zucchini au gratin, dinner went well and the girls ate until they were almost stuffed before retiring to the living room where they sipped the sensational coffee Nya brought and nibbled on Italian cookies and biscotti. Exaggerating her sleepiness, Tina prepared to kicked Shane and Alice out of the house.

How come we have to leave, Alice pointed at herself and Shane, and she doesnt Alice whined.

Because, came Tinas simple reply.

Just one more cup of coffee, Alice pleaded.

Knowing when to quit, Shane took charge. Cmon Al, lets go, Shane pulled Alices arm. Tina and Nya still have things to sort out remember? This isnt about you, still dragging Alices arm, thanks for dinner Tina; and Nya that coffee was the best.

Alice finally gave in and left with Shane, but not before giving Tina and Nya the eye.

Wheres the Rayne?
After the remarkable turn of events at the CAC, Bette walked around like a peacock. With Bianca Cressley on her side, there was nothing Franklin could do to her and he was too busy trying to cover his ***** from his dalliance with Stephen Levy to be bothered anyway. Bette found every reason to talk to Franklin; actually to provoke him and she did it relentlessly until he decided to leave early in spite of a scheduled teleconference. James, Bette, and Stella, the interne, handled it and it and when it was over, Bette called Rayne to see if she was free for the night, but she got her voicemail instead. Disappointed and feeling a little lonely, Bette invited James out for a drink, but he had plans with Katey.

Bette called Alice who told her she already had plans. Still feeling like she needed, Bette company called Kit who was happy to take her up on the offer. Bette rushed to get home and no sooner she walked in the door, her cell phone rang.

Bette Porter, she huffed to catch her breath.

B, its Rayne; just got your message.

Bette beamed like a floodlight at the sound of Raynes voice. Hey you; whats going on?

Its been a day, but I survived. What did you decide to do this evening?

Well, Bette paused, wanting to say she had none. I made plans with Kit, but can cancel if youd like, Bette offered.

Rayne shook her head, though Bette couldnt see it, now how fair would that be? Rayne hid her annoyance.

What do you mean?

B, you made plans with Kit and shes expecting you, so to renege now would be rude dont you think?

Bette suddenly realized how selfish she was being and tried some damage control. What I meant to say is that you can join us if youd like; Im sure Kit would love to see you, Bette crossed her fingers hoping to sway Rayne.

As nice as the offer sounds, I doubt Id be such good company. I’m down for a more low key evening, but go enjoy your time with Kit and let her know I said hello.

Oh come on, Bette pleaded, Im sure we can take your mind off your day.

Rayne contemplated for a second. No, I think Ill sit this one out. And for the record, dont do that again

What? Bette quickly got defensive, cutting Rayne off mid sentence.

Blow someone off and discount their feelings; Im sure Kits looking forward to seeing you.

Bette felt like shed just been slapped and rubbed her head unconsciously. Okay. Maybe I can see you later?

Will do. Bette hung up. That woman sure likes getting her digs in, Bette spoke to herself. Well, if you put yourself in someone elses shoes once in a while, you wouldnt have to be chastised, the little voice of reason spoke back. Bette shook her head to dismiss the voice and went about getting ready to meet Kit.

Quiet time
Alice is such a nut, Tina laughed and unconsciously put the deadbolt on the door and walked to the living room. That went well, Tina plopped onto the couch.

Yeah, it did; theyre a riot and thanks for inviting me, Nya snuggled against Tina.

Tina kissed Nya again to affirm her sincerity and lit candles around the room while Nya sat on the bed. Nyas exposed skin glowed in the flickering light making her look like a Brazilian goddess and Tina felt the immediate desire to rip Nyas clothes off, as she turned to face her.
