Turn About Is Fair Play – CH84
At Le Caf de Fleurs(The Caf of Flowers or The Flower Caf depends on the translation)
So, do you think you can start acting like youve had some home training? Kit leaned back in her seat clearly satiated.
Bette exhaled a deep sigh, sure I can after what this breakfasts costing me, she a half smiled.
Hey, Im not the one who wanted to act foul, Kit reminded for the umpteenth time.
Yeah, yeah, yeah! I hear you loud and clear. Actions come with consequences; Ive heard it all before, Bette complained. I also know that Im not going to piss you off anymore because youre a hazard to my wallet, they both laughed.
Hey dont fault me cause I know how to get the best out of a situation, Kit stated smugly.
Now that your stomach is full, can we get out of her so I can get to work? They stood up and walked to the door.
Kit pulled Bette to the side before they got to the car. Baby girl, I know youre still going through some stuff, but its not cool to act badly okay? Kit gave Bette a warm, sisterly hug. Love you girl.
Love you too, Bette whispered. Lets get you home so I can go to the CAC, Bettes less than enthusiastic tone raised suspicion with Kit but she said nothing.
They drove in silence until Kit couldnt take it anymore. Bette, mind if I ask you something?
Yeah; sure.
If youre that unhappy at the CAC, why dont you just leave? Dont you have something in the works with Rayne anyway?
Bette twisted her mouth not wanting to really respond, but knew Kit wouldnt let it rest if she didnt. Yeah, weve got something in the works and I think its going to be off the ground within the next few months, was Bettes dreary reply.
Girl, you should be real happy about that, Kit smacked Bettes arm with excitement.
Bette slowed down as she neared Kits apartment, Kit, when this becomes final, it means Id probably be leaving LA and moving to New York, Bette looked sadly at her sister who was now wearing the same expression.

I’ve been remiss in not commenting. But I’ve been reading, does that count *grovels* Just great. Sam Cooke, oh yeah; for me right now it’s Lena Horne and Billie Holiday

Life seems more complicated for Bette than for Tina or non ? In fact, I don’t know what could happen now about them but anyway I love this story.

Suchs babe, am blushing now.
I just write it as I feel it. This story always has me coming back for more. That is purely due to your talent and honesty with this story. You make it real; good and bad, in equal measure and that is life.
As for the developments in this chapter, I am intrigued by Bette’s behaviour as it appears that Rayne’s and Kit’s words have finally sunk in and Bette is begining to realise what she had and what she threw away.
Tina is just starting to get her life together and hopefully, even though Nya is good for her, will recognise where her heart truly belong and to whom.
See I am a big softie hoping for Bette and Tina to reunite.
Awaiting your next chapter with much anticipation.
A loyal Fan.

Blu… now here’s the thang~~~ the way I look at it Tina it appears is holding back. This woman has not really face the inner deep-rooted demon in her. I like this line here “scratched the surface†To me this tells a lot but reveals nothing LOL. I just love it when the writer make me go. Hmm I wonder what that means…. Sure it bugs the hell outta me but ah~~ there lies the beauty of it um hmm it keeps me interested. This Tina is desperately trying to be strong but there is something in the way you write this that makes me think that Tina is still very much raw and brittle somewhat that’s why I love that word you use there “surface†and when I went back to read the previous chapter for the second time I find some similarity. Similar in that Bette and Tina are both lost. Of course Bette appear to be the one more lost well at least that’s how I see it at this point of the story. Anyway I’m sticking around, I like the story too much to allow my tibette heart influence me from turning my back away and not come back to enjoy this intriguing plot that you’ve weave. A good read is a good read period!
Thank you for this up-date! I wanna see what tricks you have in store further ;o)
