The smile on Tina’s face was broader than the one she had earlier when she contemplated murdering Kate. She was amazed at Bette’s business acumen. The brunette was absolutely right. Aaron could just as easily be made the scapegoat as Tina. His exact words were ‘I don’t give a shit about your dyke drama Tina. If it’s Kate then you better do whatever it takes to get her to return those goddamn negatives by tonight. I’m holding you personally responsible!’ but as Studio Head she could hold him personally responsible to produce the product to the distributors that Kate supposedly sold. If Aaron continued to put the blame on Tina once the theft was discovered she could make a case that he and Kate were in cahoots. Even if he claimed he had no prior knowledge of Kate’s treachery he was now an accomplice after the fact as she certainly got his acknowledgement this evening when he stood up and applauded her in front of hundreds of people including William. How can he possibly deny his complicity in this debacle knowing that the film was stolen last night and early this morning and that Kate was the prime suspect? Bette could literally see the tension leave Tina’s body as she worked out the situation in her own mind.
“I need to catch William before he leaves Canada.” Tina said almost to herself and she reached for her purse and removed her phone.
“What are you doing?” Bette asked expecting that Tina was calling William at that moment.
“I’m sending a text to Sally asking her to arrange a face to face meeting with William, Aaron and Kate for tomorrow afternoon before everyone disburses. I promise it won’t take long.”
“Are you sure you don’t want to try to catch them all tonight? We can ask them to meet us out here. It’s private and we can just get it out of the way.” Bette asked not wanting this meeting to interfere with their plans to leave for the ranch the following day, but Tina insisted.
“Not tonight. It’ll have to wait until tomorrow. I’ve asked Sally to confirm.” Tina said as she finished the text and put her phone away. “We’re on a date remember and personally I’ve had enough drama for one day. I just want to dance, and laugh, and make love to you for the rest of my life. I’ve missed you so much that I don’t want to waste another minute.”

Hey Bat, thanks for another great chapter. So glad to see Bette and Tina working together not only on their relationship but also to bring Kate and her accomplices down. Not yet sure about William’s involvement and what his connection to Kate is as well as his motives of being more or less the sole investor. It could be as simple as that he is just fascinated with Kate or it could go as far as being blackmailed by Kate. As for Aaron – in my opinion – he is just trying to save his ass by trying to put all the blame on Tina.
In some way I could understand Tina trying to solve her problems at work and Kate especially by herself but in my opinion she really was a little naive thinking that Kate would back off easily and that she could forge a friendship with her.
Always like to see Bette and Tina joining forces against any enemies and I am looking forward to see how this story unfolds now that Bette’s completely involved.
